Dear Friend,
Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and everyone
here at church. The Scripture says, "And He that sat upon the throne said,
Behold, I make all things new" (Revelation 21:5). Thankfully newness of life
doesn't just happen once a year but as we look to Jesus every day can be a new
start!
There is a beautiful verse of Scripture I read the other morning. It helped me
for many days after when all types of things came my way that weren't very good.
"For the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I
will help thee" (Isaiah 41:13). I am so glad we can look to the Bible, where the
Holy Spirit inspires words of encouragement to us in the face of difficult
circumstances. There are things that are just too big for us as mere humans to
handle, but the Lord gives us assurances from His Word that He will help us! He
will hold our right hand through it all. We don't have to fix any one or anything at
those times because He tells us He will help us! When we've done everything we
can do to stand, we can simply stand on the promise that He will send us help
some way, some how!
There is another verse in Isaiah's writings where the Lord said He would
make the crooked places straight. Did you ever try to make something straight that
was completely crooked? We can try and try but there are some things that require
us to completely trust the Lord. Over the years I have found He is trustworthy. It's
not giving up, but just handing over the reigns of our lives to Him who knows
what's He's doing! He knows where He is leading us. He knows the way because
He is the way! So the life I now live I live by the faith of the Son of God, who
loved me and gave Himself for me (Galatians 2:20). The life of faith is something
we all can live in. It all depends on what we focus in on. If we live in loss there
aren't enough things that will fill the voids life brings us. If we bring our losses to
the Lord Jesus, He will fill us with His presence and grace. He will give us His
peace that passes all understanding. If my thoughts plague me with every mistake
or wrong choice I ever made, I could become weary and eventually give up. But
then I remember that the Bible encourages me to take good courage! God has
never failed those who put their trust in Him! He is a Father to the fatherless. He is
a friend that sticks closer than a brother. He is our Provider, our strength when we

are weak, our Comforter when we are filled with grief and sorrow. He understands
our thoughts afar off. And He will make all things new, because He said He
would!
When I think about what 2015 will hold for us, I can't help but think of the
goodness of God. He has brought us this far by faith and I know He will not quit
leading us now! I need not fear how I will make it, how I will be able to provide
for my family, what is in store for my life, my family, my church, our America:
God has never failed and will not now! Prayer and faith does not say, "I've tried
everything else so I'll try faith and prayer: it can't hurt." But faith and prayer says,
"Jesus and me are partners in life: we will work through this together and come
out in victory!" Faith and prayer says, "I can do all things through Christ which
strengthens me." Faith and prayer is not a crutch for weak people, but rather the
power of a new life, a sure direction, a pathway to walk that leads us all the way to
heaven. Faith and prayer is a partnership with the Lord Jesus Christ that delivers
us in every valley, that can cross every obstacle and difficult circumstance, and
that offers hope to those who are hopeless. A person that has learned to embrace
faith and prayer is a person that will come out with the grace of life. I don't know
your struggles, but I do know that the Lord will help you and you need not fear or
be full of anxiety and doubts. His promises are sure and if He said He would help
you I believe it will be just as He said! Jesus said to one man in the Bible, "If thou
canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth" (Mark 9:23).
I hope this letter has blessed you and encouraged you to look to Jesus, the
author and finisher of our faith! I want you to know you are welcome to come to
our church. We are located at 624 Torringford West Street in Torrington, CT. Our
schedule of services is Sunday at 10 AM and 7 PM, and Wednesday at 7:30 PM. If

"more abundantly" this new year and always!
Sincerely,

Rev. Daniel Bossidy
