8. Is it necessary to submit degree certificate for Guide approval? Can one submit
his/ her provisional certificate?
For approval he/ she should submit his/ her Highest Qualification Credentials it
may be either the Degree or Provisional certificate.
10. What should one a student do if his/her proposed guide is not approved by the
University?
He/ She should look for someone who satisfies the University Guide
requirement.
Guide Registration is a onetime activity. The Guide need to only quote his/ her
Registration number issued to him/ her by the University in his/ her Students
Project Synopsis form.
12. Can an approved guide under one department guide students of other
department?
Guide approval is Dept./ Stream wise only. Separate application is to be sent.
13. Can a student replace his guide if the existing guide discontinues his service in
between the project semester/s duration?
Once accepted it is recommended that a Guide completes the obligation. There
is also no restriction that student and guide should be from same place. Only on
a case to case basis University may approve for change of guide.
14. Can the Guide registration form be uploaded from student portal (EduNxt
student login)?
Yes
15. How much time university will take to approve the guide?
As and when requisition for Guide registrations are received University processes
the applications. Confirmation mail with Registration ID is sent to all approved
project Guides.
16. Should a guide get approved first and then the students have to upload synopsis?
Guide Approval and Project Synopsis submission are two parallel activities.
However, a Project Synopsis will get approved only if guide is registered/ applied
for his registration to the University.
Monitor and review the project work periodically with a minimum two
reviews during the course of the project. Review report needs to be
prepared as per the template given in Annexure III.
Review and correct draft project report and offer suggestions wherever
necessary and to confirm that the project report is submitted as per the
prescribed format of the University.
20. Will a student get a confirmation mail once his/her synopsis is approved ?
Student can see the status Submitted/ Approved/ Rejected ( to be resubmitted)
in their EduNxt login.
21. Students whose synopsis is rejected & have resubmitted where is their status
available?
A Project Synopsis is scrutinized by the Dept. as and when it is submitted.
Approvals are accorded immediately if all the required information are in order.
Approved Guide list and Project list can be downloaded from EduNxt MyZone.
For each academic Session University will publish the approved list of Project
Synopsis/ Guide. Only these students will be eligible to appear for the final
University Project Viva-Voce examination.
22. Is it compulsory that both guide and student to sign the project synopsis form
Yes, registered guide needs to verify and sign the form in absence of guide
signature confirmation mail from the guide needs to be attached while
submitting the synopsis.
24. How many student can work on the same project title?
For PG programs it is always recommended that student a student carries out an
individual project work. In case a Project Work demands more than one student
participation then the modules on which each student would be working needs
to be clearly identified.
25. What will happen if a student does not get the approval for his/ her synopsis
within the due date?
He/ She will not be eligible to appear for his University Project Viva Voce
examination.
26. How the Internal Assessment marks are to be awarded for the project work?
Look for detailed Mark distribution in the Project Guidelines. The Project Guide
is to award the IA marks for his/her candidate and submit it to the concerned LC.
Necessary documentations are to be maintained at the LC. The LC in turn will
submit it to the University through the IA tool.
27. How the marks are segregated for external, Internal Examiner and the Guide?
Refer to the corresponding Project Guidelines for details on IA and UE Mark
allocation.
28. Where can we get the Project review report which a guide has to submit to the
LC ?
