My wife was planning to travel overseas to meet her daughter who is settled in a foreign country. Although I was also to accompany her, due to her curiosity which was quite evident, I
asked her to intimate any horary number between 1 to 249. Accordingly she told me a horary
number as 47, I made the K.P. chart for the said number on dated 7-5-2012 at 5:15 PM at
Chandigarh.
Moon reveals the nature of query
Moon lord of 3 is in 6. Moon is in the star of Saturn deposited in 5, lord of 9 &10. It is in sub of
Mars deposited in 3. Hence Moon is linked with 5 [daughter], 3 [12 to 4, moving out of residence] 9 [long journey]. So query relates to quernts visit to her daughter in a foreign country.
Gulberga theory
If sublord of horary number furnished happens to be either Moon star lord or Lagna star lord
among the Ruling Planets, then query is to be answered in the affirmative, otherwise not. In the
case under consideration sublord of horary number is Rahu and Rahu is in the sign of Mars
and Lagna star lord of R.P. is also Mars. So the answer to the query is affirmative and I assured
the the querent that she will surely travel to foreign country to visit her daughter.
Confirmation through Ascendant Sublord
In this case under reference, Asc sublord is Rahu in 6. Rahu is aspected by Venus in 12 lord of
12. Rahu is the constellation of Saturn in 5 lord of 9 & 10. It is in the sub of Mars in 3. As Asc
sublord signifies 5, 3, 9 and 12, the querents effort for travelling abroad to visit her daughter
will mature.

K.S. KRISHNAMURTI, page 301, one is to judge 12th cusp and find whether the lord of the sub
of 12th cusp is either retrograde or deposited in a constellation whose lord is retrograde . If either is retrograde one cannot go abroad. If the sublord and lord of the constellation in which
The sublord is situated are in direct motion and if the sublord of the 12th is also a significator of
either 3rd or 9th or 12th one goes abroad.
12th cusp sublord
In this case 12th cusp sublord is Jupiter in 11. Jupiter having no planet in its stars becomes
the significator of 12th house, by being the sublord of 12th cusp. Further sublord Jupiter is in
the star of Sun in 11 and it is in the sub of Moon lord 3. Hence 12th cusp sublord and its star
are not retrograde and it signifies 3 and 12 so it fulfill the necessary condition for foreign travel.

Saturn is in 5 lord of 9 and 10. It is in the star of Mars in 3 lord of 6. It is in the sub of Mercury
in 11. So Saturn Mahadasha is the significator 3 and 9 which is conducive for foreign travel

Bhukti of Mars
Mars in 3 lord of 6. It is in the star of Ketu in 12. It is in the sub of Merc in 11. So Mars bhukti
signifies 3 and 12, which is conducive for foreign travel and Mars is also a ruling planet at the
time of judgment on 7-5-2012. Saturn Mahadasha- Mars Bhukti was running from 27-112011 to 06-1-2013. I told the querent that she will certainly go abroad to meet her daughter
before 06-1-2013 i.e. before the expiry of Mars Bhukti on 06-1-2013.
To check exact timing of event
The event will take place when a planet passes in Rashi [sign] of Mahadasha lord and Star lord
of the bhukti dasha lord or vice versa. When planet passes in a rashi of bhukti dasha lord and
star lord mahadasha lord Sun will transits in Vrishak sign of Mars [bhukti lord] and anurada
nakshtar of Saturn [mahadasha lord] from 20-11-2012 TO 2-12-2012.
After making calculation as above, I further intimated the querent that, she will fly to the foreign country between 20-11-2012 to 2-12-2012 to meet her daughter there.
Actual facts of the case
My wife who was planning to go abroad since long to meet her daughter but the visit could not
be materialized due to one reason or other. As some discrepancy was pointed out by the officials in Visa Office during 6 /2012 and same was got rectified only in 11 /2012 and Visa was
issued in 11/2012. We were able to fly abroad on 6-12-2012. The delay was caused due to effect of Saturn on Moon as Moon is having the starlord of Saturn [Punarphoo].

the rumor is false. If it is Mars, then it is mischievous. If it is Jupiter, it is true. And if the sub
lord happen to be a planet connected with Saturn in any manner, the report is false; but connected with Jupiter, the report will be correct. This is the way to find out a rumor is believable
or not.
Cusp 3rd. (Taurus 060.15.41): The sub lord of the 3rd cusp is Mercury. Mercury is in the star

Edward Joseph Snowden is a former technical contractor for the National Security Agency
(NSA) and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) employee who leaked top secret U.S. surveillance
programs, which were published by The Guardian and The Washington Post on June 6, 2013.
According to Snowden, the leaks were an effort to expose what he believes is excessive government surveillance of the American people.
On 14 June 2013, US federal prosecutors filed a sealed complaint, made public on 21 June,
charging Snowden with theft of government property, unauthorized communication of national

Background Note: Recently a different query comes to me to judge astrologically. A lady has
asked me whether she opens a school or restaurant? She gave me a horary number with one
question. However in question two different matters includes one is school and another is restaurant. I am little bit confused how to resolve the question. I have asked my astrologer friends
(group) how I should go with the question? Some have suggested to ask two different horary
numbers from the querent one is for school and another for restaurant, and then judge astrologically. Some have suggested to go with Option Theory. But lastly I am in decision that I will
go with the general practice of horary astrology. I am in opinion that querent does not know the
exact procedure to ask a horary question. However I have suggested the procedure how to ask a
horary question with number. Based on that, when strong urge came to her mind, she simply
asked me one question with a number.

PROFESSION AS PER KP ASTROLOGY
Profession is indicated by 10th house. Which profession the native will enjoy throughout life is
determined by 10th cuspal sublord (CSL). 10th CSL will not indicate whether the native is going
to make profit or losses in profession. It will only tell the native whether he/she will do business or service or both. Service is indicated from 6th house while business is indicated from 7th

house is to be judged for schools or colleges and it is the main house of primary education as it
denotes academic qualification, preparation of examinations, regular attendance in school or
college, etc.
2nd, 3rd, 5th should be treated as supporting houses for a profession belonging to school children. Why such houses?
2nd house shows early childhood studies and development stages through voice (speech) which

My Opinion: Opening a Montessori School (Play School for Children) is much benefited to the
querent rather than opening a restaurant.
Actual Facts: The querent has informed me that she was initially planning to open a restaurant. But as she is working in a primary school as a teacher, she has also option to open a
school. She does not have the adequate fund at present to open a school and thus she turns to
move his interest to open a restaurant on a rental basis wherein investment is lesser. However,
she has not decided yet, what to do? But her first preference will be always to open a school as
she hold good qualification and at present working as a teacher in primary school.

On the 21st May 2013, when I was riding my mo-bike to the town, a friend of mine was also
coming to my front by a mo-bike and had a smile with me and passed me. Within another two
seconds I heard a big crashing noise in my back. It is terrible.. the friend who just smiled with
me had crashed with another mo-bike and fallen on the highway with no conscious and bleeding from the mouth and nose. Though he was admitted to the hospital, no one could save his
life. I am still feeling with pain since I am the last person with whom my friend had his last
smile in this world.

Applying the KP rules for accident and death

Rule 1- If a planet signifies Lagna bhava and it is in the sub of the significator of 8th house,
one meets with danger. (KP Reader V, p 144/ 1971 edition p 138)
InterrogationLagna bhava significator Sun is in house 8 and in the sub of Mars, which is in the star of Sun
in 8. Another Lagna bhava significator Jupiter is in the star of Venus, lord of 8, and in its own
sub.
Rule 2 - If the sub lord of the Ascendant cusp (Pi 12:43:11) is deposited in the constellation of
the significator of the 8th house, one will meet with accident. (KP Reader VI, p 155)
Interrogation
Ascendant cusp sub lord Mars is deposited in the star of Sun, occupant of 8.
Rule 3- If the cuspal sub lord of 1st house be the significator (in the star of the occupant or
owner) of the houses 8 (serious illness, accident, suicide, danger to life), 12 (confinement on bed
or hospitalization), one is likely to meet with an accident during the joint period of significators
of houses 8, 12. If the sub lord be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of the
houses 8, 12, Badhaka, Maraka, it is likely danger to life or accidental death. (Chandrakant R.

Interrogation The sub lord of 1st cusp (Pi 12:43:11) Mars is in the star of Sun, an occupant of 8. Mars is also
owner of 2 (Maraka) and in the sub of Jupiter in 2 (Maraka). Star lord Sun is conjoined with
Mercury, lord of 7 (Badhaka, Maraka) although conjunctions and aspects are only weak grade
E significators in KP.
At the time of the accident the native was running Ketu-Jupiter- Jupiter- Ketu DBAS.
Dasa and Sookshma lord Ketu is in Cancer representing Moon in 8. Ketu is in the star of Mercury, owner of 4 (end of everything including life) and 7 (Badhaka, Maraka) and sub of Mars
(chief karaka for accident) in 2 (Maraka). Bukthi and Antara lord Jupiter is in 2 (Maraka), owner of 10 (retirement from this world), in the star of Venus, owner of 8 and sub of own Jupiter.
Rule 4- One will meet with an accident if the sub lord of the 8th house is to be deposited in the
constellation of the planet which is the significator of 8 th house. If the significator happens to
be also the significator of the 6th house, then he will have fever, etc. following the accident. If
the same sub lord is in the star of a planet who is also the significator of 12th, he will be admitted in a hospital. If the sub lord happens to be the significator of Badhaka and Maraka, he will
succumb to it, provided his longevity is not further more promised. If the longevity is promised,

Interrogation 8th cusp (Li 15:33:35) sub lord Venus is owner of 8 (accident, danger to life), in the star of Ketu
placed in Cancer representing Moon in 8, also aspected by Mars (chief karaka for accident) in
10 (retirement from this world), owner of 2 (Maraka), and sub of Jupiter in 2 (Madhaka), owner
of 1,10.
The sub lord of Ascendant cusp (Pi 12:43:11) is Mars, in the star of Sun and sub of Jupiter.
Mars is occupant of 10, owner of 2, 9. Star lord Sun is occupant of 8, owner of 6. Sun is also
conjoined with Mercury, lord of 7 (Badhaka, Maraka). Sub lord Jupiter is occupant of 2, owner

indicates that the natives longevity is not further more promised.
Rule 5 - (Accident - KPEZine May 2011)
If the sub lord of the Ascendant, 8th or 12th cusp or if the joint rulers of the Asc, 8th or 12th
cusp be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of 8 or 12, the native is likely to
meet with an accident. If the sub lord is in the star of the occupant or owner of 8, 7 or 2, the

8th cusp (Li 15:33:35) sub lord Venus is owner of 8 (accident, danger to life), in the star of Kethu placed in Cancer representing Moon in 8, also aspected by Mars (chief karaka for accident)
in 10 (retirement from this world), owner of 2 (Maraka), and sub of Jupiter in 2 (Maraka), owner of 1,10 (retirement from this world).
12th cusp (Aq 09:03:44) sub lord Jupiter is in the star of Venus, the owner of 8. Jupiter is in 2
(Maraka) and in the sub of own Jupiter.

Rule 6- If the significator of 3rd house for short journey and the significator of 9th house for
along journey happen to be the significator of houses 6 and 8 one will meet with an accident.
The injury will need hospitalization if it is also the significator of 12 th house. Danger and death
are denoted by the sub lord of the cusp of the 8th house. (KP Reader III, pp 171, 422)
Interrogation3rd cusp (Ta 14:40:43) sub lord Jupiter is in the star of Venus, the owner of 8. Jupiter is in 2
(Maraka) and in the sub of own Jupiter.
8th cusp (Li 15:33:35) sub lord Venus is owner of 8 (accident, danger to life), in the star of Ketu
placed in Cancer representing Moon in 8, also aspected by Mars (chief karaka for accident) in
10 (retirement from this world), owner of 2 (Maraka), and sub of Jupiter in 2 (Maraka), owner

Rule 7- If the sub lords of 4, 8, 12 trigonal or terminal houses have their stars in each other
houses, the serious accident will occur during the joint period of significators of houses

and sub of Mars (chief karaka for accident) in 2 (Maraka). Bhukti and Antara lord Jupiter is in
2 (Maraka), owner of 1, 10 (retirement from this world), in the star of Venus, owner of 8 and
sub of own Jupiter.
In this case of accident under study, all the above said KP rules are found generally satisfied.

Dasa lord Ketu was still transiting in the star of Venus, owner of 8 (death) and sub of Saturn
in 7 (Badhaka, Maraka), owner of 12 (Moksha, end of life). Bhukthi and Antara lord Jupiter
was also still transiting in the star of Mars in 10 (retirement from this world, death), owner of
2 (Maraka) and sub of Saturn in 7, owner of 11, 12. Sookshma lord Venus was transiting in

Observation
For an accident it is firstly to check whether the 1st cuspal sub lord signifies particularly
house 8 (accident, danger to life), also 6,12 and is connected with Mars, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu;
if it is found so, to check further whether the 8th cuspal sub lord also signifies 8, 6, 12. If the
Badhaka, Maraka are also involved, the accident may be fatal during the joint dasa period of
significators of 4, 8, 12, 6 and Badhaka, Maraka when the longevity is no more promised.
This analysis may be a strong evidence for the efficacy of applying the rational, simple and accurate KP rules for any type of event in a human life.

Chart 1:- Mars is the star lord of 6th & 10th cusps. He is in the sub of Saturn who is the owner
of 10th, and Saturn is placed in 6th.
Chart 2:- Mars is the sign lord of the 10th cusp and he is in his own sub who owns 10
(profession) and 5 (cure).
Chart 3:- Mars+ is the star lord of 6th & 10th cusps and he is in the star of Venus who owns

Observation: The 8th sub lord is found generally signified 6-8-12 houses in the horoscopes of
doctors under study.
7. If the sub lord of the 8th cusp signifies 4-9-10-11, one will study to become a doctor.

I was woken up from my mid-night dream-sleep on Sunday, the 26th June, 2011, by the nonstop telephone ring. A male voice, with perceptible urgency, introduced himself as Mr. M from
U K, asked me: I am faced with a potential catastrophe in my life, now, and I need a job immediately to get over my difficulties..will I get a job that may lift me from the present situation ?, please answer .
I asked him to choose a horary number between 1 -249, (despite the unearthly hour, that is applicable to me in India only!) and to contact me the next day. The horary number selected by
him was: # 11.
The next day, I checked the query for an answer applying the principles of ruling planets. Details of analysis done at Palakkad, Kerala, are provided hereunder.

who is conjoined with the horary chart sub lord Sun, and occupies the sign Gemini of Mercury
of duality nature. The event can take place only when the energizing planet Sun transits
through the sign owned by Mercury.
A look at the planetary disposition at the time of analysis shows that, the 10th and 11th house
lord is the delay-causing planet Saturn, who occupies Virgo, a sign owned by Mercury, and
throws its aspect on both the Sun and Mercury in Gemini, and Rahu as well. Does it not indicate that when the Sun transits in Gemini (the earliest time that can be reckoned for fruition),
the expected event may not/ cannot find fruition ?

So, the question is when will this happen?

Only when the Sun transit is through Virgo, which is the next sign owned by Mercury!
Only then, the good news (note: Mercury owns the 3 rd house and occupies the same) will
reach him. That would be within the next 100 days.
On the night of this day, the 27th, when he called me again, I informed him that provided he
keeps on with sincere effort, all his problems and anxiety would be set to rest within around
one-hundred days. He received this with some skepticism, as he said he has been trying his
best to find a job in UK, but all in vain till now, and his creditors are egging on him, threatening legal action.
I told him to be patient and that I can help him with the information only, as indicated by the
planets, as is my duty, and not provide the required job; astrology is all about getting proper
guidance and is to be used as a torchlight that throws light on the future path of life, and
hence let us trust the revelation by the planets on his query and see what the future unfurls
for him.
On 30/9/2011, at 16-20 hrs, he called from UK to say: He has reached the final interview,
which is fixed for 4/10/2011, and looking forward to it. With high expectation on my prediction despite the fact that there are three candidates, including him, the other two being Americans, and it seems that they stand a better chance at selection. Will he get through? He doubted (his creditors have given an ultimatum of seizing his home asset, if he could not give a clear
picture on how/when he will discharge the loan amount,that he had pleaded with them to
give time till 5th October, to give a reply. Therefore he is very worried and stressed and repeated his query : what would be the outcome?).
In checking the horary dasa period currently in operation, it is seen that he is running VenusMercury- Venus DBA. From the 6th October, he will have the Sun anthara till 27th November,
2011 and Sun is in the sub of Saturn, promising his selection. Again I assured him in the positive.
On 18/10/2011, at IST 14: 55 hours, he called from UK to inform that he got selected for the
post. As predicted, the event happened in Venus-Mercury- Sun-Rahu DBAS period. This shows
that the rulings planets may not err.

Actual Fact: In the month of May, 2013, the querent informed me that he had no more friendship relationship with his girlfriend. The friendship relationship had been broken soon after 34 week (not more than one month) from the date of judgment given by me (i.e. on 15-04-2013). I

Question 1: Navamsa Chart in KP

I am a regular reader of your thought provoking, well researched, informative articles in KP-Ezine.
From the very beginning of my quest into KP Paddhati, two questions are haunting me. One of
them is the use of Navamsha Chart (D 9) in KP.
In the first book, Guruji not only taught how to cast Rashi-Cuspal Chart, but meticulously described how to cast Navamsa Chart. But to our great astonishment, in all subsequent readers,
Guruji is total silent about it. Why? If there is no usage of it, why so much pain is taken to cast
it??
I request you to cast little light on this area in next issues.
Answer 1:
Initially Guruji KSK started taking the ideas of traditional astrology such as navamsa, Lagna or
Moon sign whichever is stronger, 108 based horary and tried to merge them with his research
results of cusps, subs, significators and 249 based horary etc. [Lagna or Moon sign whichever
is stronger is changed to Lagna alone according to the further research after 1967. The main
reason is that in a twin birth, only the cusps of the house including the ascendant change
whereas Moon is in the same position. (Krishnamurti Padhdhati Vol. 2, Sagar Publications,
1966, pp 82, 118, 255, 261-262, 264, 313, 316; KP Reader III, pp 243-244, 432-433/ 1971
Edition, Practical Part, pp 85, 259) Only 249 subs based horary is found consistently used in
the KP Reader VI since 1969, although it was started with 108 based horary. (KP Reader VI)]
Navamsa Chart
A very detailed self-explanatory three-page table to erect both the rasi and navamsa chart originally appeared in the "Krishnamurti Padhdhati Vol. 2, Sagar Publications, 1966", pp 146-148,
then was reprinted in the KP Reader I, pp 78-80.
The navamsa chart was shown side by side with rasi chart in 25 charts in the "Krishnamurti
Padhdhati Vol. 2, Sagar Publications, 1966" on pp 50, 56, 66, 90, 110, 116, 117, 125, 146,
167, 230, 233 (two charts), 241, 255, 261, 264, 267, 278, 283, 300, 310, 312, 314 and 321
as usually done in the traditional chart presentation but without practical application.
But out of above 25 navamsa charts, only two navamsa charts of the rasi chart under heading
Nature of Service on p 300 and navamsa chart of Guruji KSK's self calculated rasi chart under heading "Time of Sanction of Pension" on p 321 of the "Krishnamurti Padhdhati Vol. 2,
Sagar Publications, 1966", are found reprinted in the KP Reader III, pp 339/387 (1971 Edition,
Practical Part page 171/217). [The first navamsa chart is used to explain the nature of service
according to the traditional system.]

It means that KP system does not need to use the navamsa chart. It replaces the navamsa
chart by it own exclusive and most wonderful "star and sub" theory. The equal navamasa divi-

sion cannot be fit in the KP system which is based on the unequal 249 sub division.
The divisional charts including navamsa chart are complicated to use and there is no clear cut
and consistent method of interpreting them. KP has different kind of zodiac division but very
simple to use and probably it is the
reason that there is no place in KP for the divisional charts.
Dr. Jagdish Maheshris ninefold charts, a little modified navamsa charts in his book, "It's All
in Timing", 1997, Dr. Kar's Navamsa of Navamsa chart by equal division (KP & Astrology Year
Books) and the divisional charts in the Jyotisha Volume 1: The Krishnamurti Method (KP) by
Dr Manish Pandit,
cannot yet provide practically usable rules for combining both the divisional charts and KP systems together.
Question 2:
On page 76 of KP Reader I, author says:

To a self learner like me, its a confusing sentence. Too much of infrmation in a single sentence; too
many ANDs to combine it.
Could you help me understand this by breaking the shared info into smaller sentences? What is
the author teaching here?
Answer 2: Recommendation for KP Beginners

was, whereas the lord of the Navamsa sign is the owner of the sign (as in rasi).
The author is explaining here how to find the rasi lord and navamsa lord of a planetary position
from the Navamsa table on pages 78-80 of this KP Reader I, e.g. for a planet Aries 11 , from the
position line in the Zodiac 10.00- 13.20 on page 78, it can be seen that this planet is in the Aries sign ruled by Mars, and in the Cancer Navamsa ruled by Moon.
The above quoted sentence in the KP Reader I is the "exact reprint" from the second para on
page 144 of the "Krishnamurti Padhdhati (Advanced Stellar Astrology) Vol. I, by Jyothish Marthand K.S. Krishnamurti, Sagar Publications, 1966".
KP Reader I to V are the exact reprint of the "Krishnamurti Padhdhati (Advanced Stellar Astrology) Vol. I & II, by Jyothish Marthand K.S. Krishnamurti, Sagar Publications, 1966, with removals and add-ons, and the KP Reader VI was newly written one. There is no change of language style but the significant changes in some topics would be confusing for the KP beginners.

UpdateI downloaded the June KP EZine issue on my Windows 7 OS, and it opens and reads
fine, but I cannot read your June issue on my MacBook Pro (OS X Version10.8.3). It crashes on
the 'Contents' page. I checked all the other KP EZine downloaded KP EZine Issues, and they
ALL open just fine on my Mac, so I am a bit perplexed about this. Then I re-downloaded Adobe
Reader for MacBook, and same problem with opening current issue on my Mac, while earlier
issues open fine on my Mac. A mystery, I guess.
I don't know if any other KP EZine subscribers are also having problems opening the June Issue on a Mac computer, that is why I gave you the OS and version above - so you can inform
your web developer. I also sent several reports to Apple, reporting the crash.

Problem SOLVED! I researched this problem with the Mac crash, and discovered that the Mac
(Apple) OS (operating system) has now decided to set an application, called "Preview", to be
their (Apple's) default .PDF Reader (rather than the familiar ADOBE .PDF READER.) So when
trying to open the new June issue of KP Ezine, Adobe Reader was no longer working as the default Reader, as it has been changed by Apple (or changes as the Mac operating system's default .pdf reader).
So if you encounter a problem with any of your other subscribers having a 'crash problem',
simply tell them to right click on the newly downloaded (unzipped KP EZine) issue, and select
"Open with Adobe Reader". Access is then granted WITHOUT crashing. :)
I hope this information is helpful for others who own Mac computers.
