Device

A unit of an electrical system that is intended to carry or control

but not utilize electric energy.
Terminal Connector
is an electro-mechanical device for joining electrical circuits
as an interface using a mechanical assembly. Connectors
consist of plugs (male-ended) and jacks (female-ended).
Types
Terminal blocks
provide a convenient means of connecting individual electrical
wires without a splice or physically joining the ends.
Posts
A general type of connector that simply screws or clamps bare
wire to a post
Plug and socket connectors
Plugs generally have one or more pins or prongs that are inserted
into openings in the mating socket.
Component and device connectors
individual screw terminals and fast-on or quick-disconnect
terminals are more common
Contactor
A contactor is an electrically controlled switch used for
switching a power circuit, similar to a relay except with
higher current ratings. A contactor is controlled by a
circuit which has a much lower power level than the
switched circuit.
Operation
When current passes through the electromagnet, a
magnetic field is produced, which attracts the moving core of the
contactor. The electromagnet coil draws more current initially,
until its inductance increases when the metal core enters the coil.
The moving contact is propelled by the moving core; the force
developed by the electromagnet holds the moving and fixed
contacts together. When the contactor coil is de-energized,
gravity or a spring returns the electromagnet core to its initial
position and opens the contacts.
Applications
Control of:
electric motors,
lighting,
heating,
capacitor banks,
thermal evaporators, and
other electrical loads.
Distribution Box
is a component of an electricity supply system which divides an
electrical power feed into subsidiary circuits, while providing a
protective fuse or circuit breaker for each circuit, in a common
enclosure.
Earth Leakage Circuit Breakers
is a safety device used in electrical installations with high earth
impedance to prevent shock. It detects small stray voltages on
the metal enclosures of electrical equipment, and interrupts the
circuit if a dangerous voltage is detected.
Operation

is used for the protection against electrical leakage in the circuit.

When somebody gets an electric shock or the residual current of
the circuit exceeds the fixed value, ELCB cuts off the power
within the time of 0.1s automatically protecting the personal
safety and preventing the equipment from the fault. ELCB also
protect the circuit against over load and short-circuit.
The main purpose of earth leakage protectors is to prevent injury
to humans and animals due to electric shock.
Mini Circuit Breaker
Commonly used in low voltage electrical network for protecting
the circuit against overload and short circuit
Operation
due to thermal effect of over current
due to electromagnetic effect of over current
Residual Current Circuit Breakers
to open a circuit automatically in the case of an earth leakage
fault between phase and earth and/or neutral greater than a set
current generally 300mA. It is used in domestic, commercial and
industrial installations.
Mirco Switch
is an electric switch that is actuated by very little physical force,
through the use of a tipping-point
mechanism, sometimes called an "over-center" mechanism.
a relatively small movement at the actuator button produces a
relatively large movement at the electrical contacts, which occurs
at high speed
Common applications
door interlock on a microwave oven,
levelling and safety switches in elevators,
vending machines,
to detect paper jams or other faults in photocopiers
Tamper switches on gate valves on fire sprinkler
systems and other water pipe systems, where it is
necessary to know if a valve has been opened or shut
General Relay
Suitable for DC or AC circuit switching in various automation
devices, process control and communication equipments
Solid State Relay
is an electronic switching device that switches conduction states
when a small external voltage is applied along its n-type and ptype junctions. Solid-state relays are composed of semiconductor
materials, including thyristors and transistors , and have current
ratings that extend from a few microamps for low-power packages
up to around a hundred amps for high-power packages.
They have extremely fast switching speeds usually ranging
between 1 to 100 nanoseconds and are not easily affected by
contact wear.
Isolating Switches
is used to ensure that an electrical circuit is completely deenergised for service or maintenance.
