SITUATION VACANT
Applications are invited from Pakistani nationals for the appointment of one Research Associate @ Rs. 39,000/- per month for one
year, qualification; M.Phil. (Parasitology) with minimum CGPA 3.0/4.0, currently enrolled in PhD Parasitology in in the research project
entitled Arthropod Functional Genomics Initiative: Building Community Resources for Animal Health funded under Pak-US Science
and Technology Cooperation Program. The applications may be submitted on a plain paper accompanied y attested copies of
certificates/testimonials/CNIC/Domicile and a latest photograph. Applications should be submitted to Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal, PI,
Department of Parasitology, UAF within 6 days after the publication of this notice. Candidates already in service must apply through
proper channel by the due date. PI has the right not to fill the post without assigning any reason.
FARMING BUSINESS HEAD REQUIRED
A leading national company requires a PhD (Agriculture) candidate to head their Farming Business. The candidate must be able to

CONSULTANCY AND DATA ANALYSIS DESK (CADAD)
The worthy Vice Chancellor, UAF has approved setting up the CADAD in the Department of Math. & Stat. The Department has started
(from 21-02-2013) to deliver the services of Consultancy and Data Analysis to the Students, Faculty members of UAF and employees of
the other Institutions/private Organization at the subsidized nominal rates. This desk will assist and provide the help to researchers in
designing and planning their experiments, questionnaires, and data analysis. All the POs of research projects, supervisors and post
graduate students are invited to avail these services during working hours. All the other institutions, Research Departments, NGOs and

PUNJAB EDUCATIONAL ENDOWMENT FUND (PEEF) 2012-13
The awardees under captioned program are informed to collect their acknowledge sheet from Directorate of Financial Assistance &
University Advancement. The acknowledge sheet duly singed by authorities mentioned on it should be submitted before 26-03-2013 for
payment of their scholarship.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PARKING DURING SPRING FESTIVAL 2013 TO BE HELD ON 26TH MARCH TO 1ST APRIL, 2013
Open auction of the parking spots at (a) Dairy Farm and area adjacent to Motor Pool (For Exhibition Parking 29th March to 1st April,
2013) (b) Near Jinnah Hall (For Exhibition Parking, 29th March to 1st April, 2013) Near Bilal Colony (For Grayhound and Horse City, 26th
March to 31st March, 2013). (i) The successful bidder will charge Rs. 10/- for bicycle, Rs. 20/- for Motorcycle, Rs. 30/- for Car/Jeep and
Rs. 50/- for Mini Truck Mazda/Hyundai etc. per entry per as parking fee (ii) The interested bidder(s) will deposit bid money of Rs.
25,000/- for Motorcycle, Bicycle, Cars in shape of bank draft in favour of Deputy Treasurer (DPIC), UAF or cash till 21st March, 2013 at
02:30 pm for parking point as mentioned above. (iii) The successful bidder will deposit the amount equal to the highest bid immediately
into Directorate of Procurement & Inventory Control, failing which bid money will be forfeited in favour of University, (iv) Govt. Vehicle
having green plates /vehicles indicated by the Estate Management Department will exempt from parking fee, (v) Arrangement of Fence,
watch & ward and management of the Parking spots will be the responsibility of the bidder, (vi) The bidder will be responsible for any
loss occurred due to damage/steal/ of any Vehicle (vii) Contractor will follow University Rules and instructions issued from time to time
(viii) University employees will not participate in the auction (ix) University reserves the rights to cancel/postpone the bid/auction without
assigning any reason, (x) The bidder will provide guarantor (University Officer), (xi) The bidder will provide original N.I.C. for self and his
employees. These will remain in the custody of the Estate Management Department upto 2nd April, 2013. The Estate Management
Department will issue the security cards to the successful bidder and his employees.
PLACEMENT OF PhD THESIS FOR PEER REVIEW
PhD thesis of Mr. Mian Muhammad Awais, Regd. No. 2003-ag-2076, will be placed for peer review in the office of the Chairman
Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Veterinary Science for one week from 19-03-2013. The title of his PhD thesis is Evaluation of
sugar cane (Saccharum officinarum) bio-molecules as biological response modifires and their immunotherapeutic effects against
coccidiosis in chicken. All interested persons are invited for their favorable suggestions.
ESTABLISHMENT OF FULBRIGHT OFFICE AT UAF
USEFP is bi-national commission established since 1951 to help promote mutual understanding through educational exchange of
outstanding scholars, professionals, and students between Pakistan and the US. USEFPs program department offers 13 different fully
funded scholarship program for students, professors, teachers, working professionals and journalists. The Fulbright Masters and PhD
program funds graduate study in the US for a Masters or PhD degree. Funded by the USAID, these grants cover tuition, required
textbooks, airfare, a living stipend, and health insurance. USEFP also assists with the visa process. Operating in Pakistan for more than
two decades, USEFPs testing services have expanded operations in recent years from Islamabad to Lahore and Karachi. Students
may register their USEFP for the TOEFL, GRE, SAT, or ACT examinations and many more such standardized tests or professional
certifications. This is to inform you that a USEFP Fulbright office has been established in FM Radio Building opposite to CDC at UAF
aiming at guiding the students and faculty about scholarship and training opportunities from Monday to Friday (9.00 am to 5.00 pm). For
