SOFTWARE KEY iPASO-400


General
Software key is a powerful, yet easy-to-use multi-dimensional equipment management tool
that could facilitate the customers requirement for capacity and configuration expansion or
upgrades. The iPASOLINK hardware support all capacities and configurations. Initially
customer can acquire the capacity and redundancy configuration required for the current
traffic requirements to keep the cost down. When the traffic requirement expand or grows,
additional capacities can be enabled by acquiring a software key.
To facilitate the customer requirements of larger traffic needs, software key is a powerful, yet
easy-to-use multi-dimensional equipment management tool to upgrade iPASOLINK 400.

1. KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS


1.1 Upgradable by Software Key
Upgrading the equipment can be done easily by installing the software key.
1.2 Product Cost Down
The software key function is a very cost effective feature that allows the customer to upgrade
the system configuration.
1.3 Upgrading Whenever Needed
When traffic volume increases, you may need to increase the capacity. iPASOLINK 400 can
be upgraded by software key(s) whenever needed.
1.4 Flexible Software Key Selection
Select the software key depending on what needs to be upgraded/changed in your equipment.

2. SOFTWARE KEY TYPES


Software key is classified into two types:
Initial Key
Initial Key is installed into the equipment at the NEC factory before shipment.
Upgrade Key
Upgrade key is installed into iPASOLINK 400 equipment.
