The Ava lon S cho ol of Ast rolog y was est ablishe d as
a Flor id a C or p orat ion in t he ye ar 2002, and in t he
s ame ye ar 501(c)(3) non-prof it st atus was g rante d by
t he fe dera l gover nment.
A licens e to op erate as a p ost-s e cond ar y vo c at iona l
s cho ol was g rante d by t he C ommission for Indep endent E duc at ion by t he st ate of Flor id a in 2002. The
s cho ol op ene d its do ors and t he f irst cl ass es b egan in
Febr u ar y 2004.
