Eckhardt Waldemar left his young pregnant wife to fight a Beastmen threat to the county of Reikland, only

to fall in battle.
Unable to stand the loss of her beloved husband, Beatrix Waldemar died from a broken heart, soon after
giving birth to their son.
Trying to help his sister-in-law, the Warrior-Priest of Sigmar, Hermand Gottfried vowed to adopt the now
orphaned son of Eckhardt and Beatrix and raise him as his own, a decision which the rest of Hermands
Order, the Order of the Silver Hammer, looked at skeptically.
Hermand named him Dieter Gottfried.
As he was raised by a priest, it was only natural that Dieter would choose the same destiny as his uncle
Hermand. Since Dieter was old enough to walk and talk, he was taught the ways of the Cult of Sigmar and,
nearly as important, the ways of the Oder of the Silver Hammer.
After many years of study and training, Hermand decided that Dieter was ready to travel with him, through
the Empire, seeking out villages besieged by beastmen, heretics and other enemies of the Empire, stirring up
and sometimes founding village militias. The years passed and the Initiate and the Priest soon became
renowned for their selfless acts, yet it was not meant to last. During one of these battles, Hermand was
deadly wounded and Dieter could do nothing to safe him nor capture the Bestigor Champion who wounded
Hermand, as it run off into the forrest.
It was with heavy heart that Dieter brought Hermands dying body back to their homecity of Altdorf, though
at the gates of the great city, Hermands body succumbed to his wounds and died in Dieters arms.

When Dieter entered the Church of Sigmar, the assembled priests, initiates and even the Grand Theogonist
() all acknowledged Dieters deeds, and it was mere hours as Dieter was ascended to full Warrior Priest.
On that same day Dieter vowed that he would root out the Bestigor who had slain his mentor, parent and last
relative and bring its head back to Hermands grave. After Hermands funeral he took off to track down this
beastman, having been equipped with the armour and weapons suitable of his new rank.
It would take him two years to find out the whereabouts of the bestigor and another 10 months to precisely
locate and, with the help of a small army of peasants, slay him and the rest of his tribe, which was still
decimated by the attack on the village, where Hermand would fall.
Dieter returned with the head of the bestigor, presented it to Hermands grave, resting for a month in the
Church of Sigmar.

During his month of rest Dieter spends most of the time alone, meditating, contemplating his next course of
action.
He decided he would travel the Empire and purge all corruption wherever he could find it, rousing up
oppressed villages to defeat their beastmen oppressors, relentlessly executing the mutant and heretic.
His quest continues to this day and has brought him to back to Reikland, the south-eastern part to be precise.
