Worked in the SIP/Media team as part of IMS applications development group for 3G mobile handsets in North
America. It's a three member team and my contribution is as below:
1. Designed and implemented algorithms for “Wireless Rate Adaptation” based on RTCP control data for P2P
VideoShare application in 3G mobile terminals. Mainly used RTT and packet loss fraction fields of the
control data in the algorithm.
2. Responsible for IMS Media Manager module which does multiple media session management and
transport of compressed media (H263+, MPEG4, AMR) and control data using RTP/RTCP. Played a major
role in implementing RTP/RTCP stack and designing OEM layer for media manager module.
3. Responsible for integrating and modifying third party codec layer solutions (Qualcomm Video Phone
Codec Layer) with the corresponding IMS application enablers, viz. P2P VideoShare, PushToTalk over
Cellular.
4. Responsible for porting P2PVideoshare application and IMS Media Manager on various platforms
(WindowsMobile, Linux and Samsung Handset Platform)
