DDB Dubai Takes Homes MENA Grand Prix at Cristal Festival, Courchevel, France

DDB Dubais campaign for Persil (Henkel) Preserving Pride stood out at the
Cristal Festival in Courchevel. The jury made the campaign its MENA Grand Prix
winner in the Consumer Marketing Category. The work also received three Gold in
Design & Packaging, Point of Sale and in Best use of Promo and Activation
categories, and three Silver in Point of Sale, Best use of Merchandising/in Story
Marketing and in Best use of Ambient in Promotional Campaign.
On these wins, Hubert Boulos, CEO DDB Middle East said: The toughest challenge
for creatives and brands in the UAE is to develop award winning work rooted in local
culture. Preserving Pride has definitely met that challenge and exceeded it as it is
also a business building idea for one of the most demanding marketers in the
world.
Another Gold was awarded to Al Manzil Schools Facebook App in Direct Marketing
led by Digital and Social category. Al Manzil Schools Facebook App also received a
Bronze in the Media category for Best use of Social.
On the overall agency performance at the Cristal Festival, Firas Medrows, ECD DDB
Dubai said: This is the best way to end the year. A year where we faced many
challenges. Nevertheless, we stood still and we came out stronger than ever. Thanks

The Cristal Festival is an international event held from 11 to 14 December 2014, in
Courchevel, French Alps. The objective of the Festival is to promote European and
MENA advertising creativity. The Cristal Festival juries are made up of both agencies
and advertisers. This year, Patrick Ehringer, President DDB Middle East & Africa was
part of the Global Leadership Council, and Firas Medrows, ECD DDB Dubai, a
member of the Consumer Marketing jury.
