PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Since its introduction in 2008, the CEFAM MBA program in International Management has allowed students to fur ther
specialize and better equip themselves for the international job market. Our MBA program is unique in France and
offers a two year academically intensive program that allows students to simultaneously obtain both a European MBA
and an MBA from one of our par tner universities in Nor th America. Taught by an experienced faculty and delivered on
campuses in France and the United States, our MBA prepares students for the demanding multicultural, multilingual, and
multifaceted roles of todays international manager.

niversit Laval is a big school with a small school atmosphere and an international attitude. At Laval, CEFAM
students can choose from among many majors including E-business, International Management, Finance, Marketing,
and Company Administration Accredited by the AACSB in 1995, Universit Laval obtained the prestigious EQUIS
accreditation in 2005.
T
he Kean MBA in Global Management is a new kind of MBA, one that responds to the transformation of many
businesses into global enterprises and prepares managers to succeed in a global business environment. This specialized
MBA program combines core knowledge in Key Business Disciplines (e.g. marketing, accounting, finance), advanced
knowledge in Global Management issues (e.g. global leadership, international learning business tours), and practical
global experience. All Kean MBA-GM students must exhibit a proficiency in a second language before they graduate.
Students benefit from classes taught in the evening and are able to get real work experience during at least one
semester a wonderful oppor tunity for CEFAM students to develop professional business skills in an American
environment.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The MBA Business Unit program, developed in par tnership with Sogeti (a subsidiary of one of the worlds leaders in I.T.
Cap Gemini), is a unique, two year program that prepares par ticipants for the profession of IT Consultant and includes a
five month internship with Sogeti. Upon successful completion of the program, students receive two degrees, recognized
in both France and the United States, and guaranteed employment.

CEFAM is a French American business school located in Lyon. CEFAM is the only business school in France that allows
all of its students to study in the United States and simultaneously obtain TWO recognized degrees one French, and
the other American from our AACSB accredited par tner Rider University.
Rider University is a mid-sized university with a thriving College of Business Administration (CBA). Students are
accompanied throughout the program by a motivated faculty that guides each student towards success. Rider University
is ranked in the top tier of nor thern-eastern regional universities by U.S. News and World Repor t and ranked among
the top colleges in recent editions of The Princeton Reviews Best Colleges. Our par tnership allows CEFAM students to
enter Riders MBA program in their 5th year and to earn dual French and American degrees. Rider University accepts
and transfers academic credits earned at CEFAM, thus enabling students to complete their degree in only 1 year (an
MBA degree typically requires 2 years of study).

Program Objectives:
Meet your companys need to adapt rapidly to continual and complex changes
Develop expertise and in-depth analysis of business models
Reinforce the capacity to design new business models and confront them with the foreseeable evolution of the real economy

IDRAC is a French private institution with 47 years of experience, 10 campus sites, over 5 000 students and 14 000
alumni. The board of Directors is advised by 29 executive examiners who come from different disciplines and 14
international external academics are members of the Scientific Steering Group. On an international level, IDRAC has

Most of the programs include one or several corporate placement periods during which the students acquire real
professional experience in a company. The schools assist the students in finding companies for the corporate placement
period with Career Management training sessions
These training sessions are designed to allow the students to formulate a professional project, and develop the students
job search skills. The workshops are facilitated by HR professionals and recruiters.
The schools allow the students to avail of their combined network of more than 8 800 companies to identify corporate
placement oppor tunities.
LIVING IN PARIS
PARIS
Paris, also known as the City of Lights is a centerpiece of world culture and business. Located on the River Seine,
Paris is a confluence of political dynamism, educational excellence, fashion innovation and ar tistic inspiration. With an
abundance of monuments that capture the glorious past of France, and its impact on modern civilization, Paris also
creates an atmosphere epitomizing the cutting edge of modern trends. Famous sites and landmarks such as the Eiffel
Tower, the Louvre Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Champs Elysees have established Paris as one of the
world most popular tourist destination.
Paris and the greater Paris area comprise over 12 million people. Only one other city in Europe, London, is as large.
HOUSING
Three options are available:
Homestays: from 750/month to 1050 depending on
the number of meals per week
Student residences: 850/month for a fully furnished
studio
Apar tments: 800-900/month for a studio and 700 to
1000/month for a shared apar tment
COST OF LIVING
Meals: 300 to 400/month
Public transpor tation: 65.10/month but for students
who stay for a minimum of a year, you should ask for a
special year-long metro ticket for 314/year

LIVING IN LYON
LYON
Moving to Lyon and its region is choosing one of the most attractive European cities. A destination that is competitive
and open to the world, each year Lyon attracts more and more students, companies, and talents.
Its remarkable location at the hear t of Europe links Lyon on an average of 1 hours to all of the major European cities,
Barcelona, Milan, Turin, and Geneva thanks to an equally well performing network of communication by air, road, or rail
(3 TGV bullet train stations). The train network puts Lyon at 2 hours from Paris, and 5 hours from London by Eurostar.
The proximity of Provence, the Mediterranean, the Alps, and the large wine regions add charm to the Lyon region.
Lyon enjoys an international economic standing and is renowned university center. Every year, Lyons prestigious schools
and universities welcome over 100,000 students. Lyon is home to renowned international institutions like Interpol,
Euronews, and The International Center for Cancer Research.

If you are not a citizen of a European Union member country, Andorra, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Monaco, Norway or
Switzerland, you must apply for a long stay student visa (more than 90 days) to study in France.
The Visa CANNOT be issued once the applicant is in France.
Our schools require you to obtain a student visa in order to attend the school.
You cannot apply for the visa more than 3 months before the star t of the program.
ATTENTION: the following information is provided to the best of our knowledge. Although we try to keep our
information current, we recommend that you check directly with the French Consulate.
STUDENTS ENROLLED IN SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES IN FRANCE FOR LONGER THAN 90 DAYS
ARE REQUIRED TO:
1. Register to Campus France
A
ll students MUST apply and obtain permission through Campus France BEFORE they can begin the
application process with their appropriate consulate. NO VISA WILL BE GRANTED BY FRENCH
CONSULATES WITHOUT ENROLLMENT TO CAMPUS FRANCE.
Officially, the Campus France process takes 2 weeks. However, at busy times of the year, it can take up to 4
weeks.

2. Obtain a student visa at the appropriate Consulate
O
nce you get the approval from Campus France, you must apply for your visa which is usually granted within
2-3 weeks at the nearest French consulate.
Students must complete and submit a long stay student visa application for stays of 3-12 months to their
appropriate Consulate.
Some Consulates distinguish between stays of 3-6 months (temporary long stay student visa) and 6-12
months (long stay student visa): choose the long stay student visa.

Non-EU and non-Algerian students have the right to work a maximum of 964 hours a year. If the program of
study includes a corporate placement, a work permit is not required for the work placement.
