STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE of

REPLACE CT (CURRENT TRANSFORMER)

I.

PURPOSE :
1. Replace CT on Outgoing Panel Switchgear at Power Plant
2. Check Nitrogen of Gatra Transformer.

II.

PREPARATION :
1. Hi-line tools. ( Hot line tools )
2. Electric tools
3. Man power.

III. PROCEDURE :
1. Prepare SOP, JSA and Work Permit.
2. Safety meeting prior Job execution.
IV. EXECUTION :
1. Prepare tools, materials and set up man power to conduct the JOB.
2. The weather must be clear / No Rain.
3. Shutdown Generator No. 2
4. Hi-Line crew coordination with other sections, Power Plant dispatcher, Production,
Artificial Lift and Power Plant dispatcher.
TRANSFER LOAD FROM OCB #1 TO VCB #ECHO
5. Hi-Line crew to do:
a. Coordination with Production field and Electric Construction crew to shut
down all wells Coordination with KMT Power Plant Operator to open breaker
of OCB-1.
b. Coordination Power Plant to Opened feeder Transformer.
c. Hi-Line crew Open DS (Disconnecting Switch) at load side transformer.
d. Hi-Line crew connection grounding tools on HV bushing line of Transformer.
e. Close main line fuse near Reda Pump of OCB-1
f. Coordination with Production field and Electric Construction crew to re-stared
all wells
POWER PLANT SCOPE:
6. Double check all installation from Generator, Switchgear and transformer was open
and grounding all phase to make sure there was no electric power remain at busbar.

7. Install New CT at outgoing cubicle and Continuity test.

8. Generator #1 & Generator #2 ready to Start.
TRANSFER LOAD FROM VCB #ECHO TO OCB #1
9. Hi-Line crew to do:
g. Coordination with Production field and Electric Construction crew to shut
down all wells
h. Open Hi-Line fuse near Reda Pump of OCB-1.
i. Hi-Line crew disconnection grounding tools on HV bushing line of
Transformer.
j. Hi-Line crew Close DS (Disconnecting Switch) at load side transformer.
k. Coordination with Gatra Power Plant to Closed feeder of Transformer.
l. Coordination with KMT Power Plant Operator to Closed breaker of OCB-1.
m. Coordination with Production field and Electric Construction crew to re-stared
all wells
n. If Power Plant request to add power load. Hi-Line Maintenance transfer load
from
10. Hi-Line crews do the job to transfer load from Kasim Line-1 of VCB-Echo to
OCB-1.
a. Open main line fuse at Kasim Road of VCB-Echo.
b. Close main line fuse near Reda Pump of OCB-1.
c. Hi-Line crew coordination with production field crew to re-start all wells at
11. JOB completed and evaluation.
12. ESTIMATE DOWN TIME TRANSFER LOAD APPROX. 2 (TWO) HRS.
