Dear Mission Partner,

I am writing this letter from Turkey. I am sitting together with Selin who has promised to help me to
produce these letters in the future. When Selin steps in and helps us, I am convinced the info-letter will have
a much more professional look. To visit Turkey is
always a highlight for me. It is inspiring to meet
with the follow-up team, listen to their stories of
people who call in, and hear about their visits to
new believers around the country. It is a priviledge
to be able to meet with hosts and producers and see
their heart and hear their dreams for their country.

I have heard from several partners that they
would be interested in knowing our follow-up team
and hosts more personally. Starting with this letter
there will be a short presentation of a follow-up
team member or a host in every letter. I hope this
Ilhami sitting and talking with a contact in Eastern Turkey
will be a helpful resource.

Recently, our satalite company changed our frequency. We were concerned that consequently we
would lose viewers. However, we were relieved to see that we did not lose many viewers. Also, the phone
calls, SMS messages and e-mails experienced only a minor decrease. We believe that in the future the change
of frequency will actually give us an even greater audience. We have also been experiencing problems with
Facebook for a month now. Our Facebook page Kanal Hayat and our web address have been blocked. We
are working hard to solve this problem.

Our greatest need right now is for new programs. Running a 24/7 TV-channel means that there is
always a need for new programs in order to maintain viewers. For two years we have been attempting to
raise funds for a youth program. The youth are especially curious about the world outside and Christianity.
Currently we have programs for children and adults, but not for youth, which is concerning for us. We have
a concept for a youth program that would be created by young Turks and be recorded in Turkey. My prayer is
that this will be a reality in 2015.

One day Ilhami saw a newspaper

add offering a free New Testament.

After calling the phone number
he soon met a Christian face-toface and attended a local church
for the first time in his life. Christ
revealed Himself to Ilhami
through the Scriptures and those
Ilhami at the baptism of a contact
witnessing to him. His family
opposed his newly found faith. His wife remained indifferent. However,
a year later Christ also revealed Himself to his wife in a dramatic way
and now together they serve the Lord.

Ilhamis pastor saw him as a potential evangelist. Rare hours
when he was off work Ilhami would hang out at church interacting
with especially new people. Everybody liked Ilhami. His pastor
recommended him to KH as
a phone operator and daily
interaction with seekers has tested
and developed his faith greatly.

After receiving his first New
Testament, Ilhami began reading
aloud to his mother and she loved
it. She proudly told family and
Ilhami at a homegroup meeting with Ali
friends that her apathetic son had
finally become religious, only she couldnt figure out which sect. When
she learned her Muslim son had become a Christian she never allowed
the Scriptures to be read aloud in her presence again.
