Charged with managing the Asahi plant build-out and subsequent ongoing improvements, equipment design and
expansion initiatives that grew from a Greenfield stage to $500 million in annual sales over a 10-year period.
Entrusted by senior management and investment group with the leadership and subsequent relocation of a bus
manufacturing facility from New Zealand to Charlotte, North Carolina while simultaneously opening a new plant and
new product line for the U.S. and European markets with a concentration on EV and HEV city buses.
Designed and built customer manufacturing equipment for productivity and quality needs in-house at Asahi and
DesignLine, and with external contractors (global) for major customers such as Honda, US Steel, Thompson Electronics,
Cummins Engines, and New York City, City of Baltimore Maryland, Dubai, Glencore, Allied Mines, and MAC Tools.
Played a key role in the development of laser and shielding for 'Star Wars' project utilizing high purity ceramic materials
and lasers, blackout plant design using advanced technology, and the design and development of internal engine
components using metal and ceramic powders for achieving emission standards.

Led a comprehensive business analysis, which proved instrumental in securing more than $7 million in asset
management services with 3 different organizations over a 3-year period managing multiple projects at one time ranging
from $100,000 to $6 million as fixed cost and T&M contracts each on time and budget utilizing and understanding
constraints, tracking issues /risks, and communication with the customer and internally.
VP of Operations and Engineering Responsibilities included managing daily operations and engineering functions
including plant layout, equipment, infrastructure, production process, safety procedures, training, and new products.
Successfully implemented the Toyota production systems starting with booth building to a continuous flow in line
systems with visual shop floor reporting, work process and quality standards, and 5S process in place.
Director of Vehicle Maintenance and Engineering Primary duties focused on managing and maintaining both
fixed route and part-transit fleets for repairs, parts, fuel, and labor. Additionally, managed 6 direct reports and 125 hourly
employees for multiple sites, as well as management of Smart bus technology and integrated ERP solution for cost control.
Improved asset availability 50% in 24 months that accomplished the following 4 items: 1) Slashed revenue loss by $5
million; 2) Reduced maintenance labor expense by $3.5 million; 3) Eliminated redundant or unused maintenance parts
inventory by $3 million; and 4) Dead spare parts inventory by $1.2 million.
