QA/QC Inspector
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs QA/QC inspection activities with emphasis on vessel fabrication
Required to perform inspection activities relating to pipe, electrical, structural and rotating equipment
Maintain the companies interest in the production schedule and fabrication quality
Advise managers and supervisors on application of industry standards with emphasis on expediting the completion of fabrication and
maintaining of fabrication plans
Act as a role model for professional behavior on the job site, in all communications, and in the community where construction
projects take place
Maintain QA/QC records as necessary for tracking of all inspection activities and material traceability
Prepare reports, memorandums, requisitions, specifications and correspondence for QA/QC
Attend QA/QC meetings and prepare meeting notes as needed
Review purchase orders for inspection material requirements as needed
Develop QA/QC databases as necessary to track documentation and critical data
Travel to project sub-supplier sites to measure, coordinate, monitor and improve QA/QC efforts including domestic and international
Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

10 years plus experience in QA/QC industry emphasis on Vessel fabrication
Preference given to AI (authorized inspector) current or previously certified
Preference given to API certified 510
Preference given to API certified 570
Preference given to API certified 610
Or 15 years related inspection experience
Ten years related experience in a Petrochemical EPC environment required. Experience needs to be related to field of inspection,
fabrication of pressure vessels, piping, electrical, structural and rotating equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong self started having a working knowledge of petrochemical industry construction
Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
Must be experienced and effective in enforcing applicable Codes and Standards such as ASME Sec VIII, XI, V, B31.3, AWS, API
510, API 570, API 653, TEMA and company specifications
Must possess good reasoning abilities, reading, writing and interpretive skills
Must have a demonstrated capacity to write coherent technical specifications and reports
Must have a working knowledge of MS Office with competency in MS Excel and MS Word
Must possess the ability to write reports, develop forms, speak effectively before small groups, communicate with co-workers and
handle multiple tasks.
