Process
I used Illustrator to create my letterhead and business
card. First I made art boards in the dimensions of
each part of the stationery. I then played around with
different fonts to see how they looked with my name.
Once I found one I liked, I created the circle logo and
the scalloped logo. When those were how I wanted
them to look, I changed the colors to get the fun and
playful look.

Process
Before I started I first found the scripture I wanted to
base my montage off of. Once I found the scripture I
wanted to use, I chose a nice picture of the temple and
cherry blossoms to give the image a bright and cheery
feel. I placed the images into Photoshop layers and
used the magic wand tool to select the backgrounds
of the images. Once I deleted the backgrounds I used
masks to change the opacity of the images and make
them blend into each other. I used a plain blue background and added a stain glass filter to give it some
texture. The last thing I did was add the text in and
changed the font and size. I also selected two words
that I wanted to highlight and gave them a different
font and color to match the flowers.

Process
I started by coming up with the company I wanted
to design a logo for. I thought a bakery would be fun
to work with. Next, I decided how I wanted to create
each logo. I used Illustrator to design each part of the
logo. I then chose text that I felt went with each logo.
The last thing I did was decide on the color scheme. I
wanted fun and cute colors that would attract bakery
goers.

it with the letters. I then made the whole layout design
in InDesign. I added the edited photos, the logo, and
created text for the inside.

Photoshop
Process
I started with taking a picture outside of some leaves.
I brought the image into Photoshop and resized it so
it wouldnt be such a large file to work with. I adjusted
the yellow in the photograph to make it more orange.
Then I created a new document and placed the image
inside. I added some complementary colors in rectangles to enhance the design. I chose the colors from the
image and matched them to the color wheel. I found
a quote I liked from Dieter F. Uchtdorf to place inside
the image.

Microsoft Word
Process
I used a scanner to import the image into the computer and used Microsoft Word to create the event ad.
I used the box tool to make the blue boxes. I matched
the blues to the blues in the image using the eyedropper tool. I chose a serif font for the title and a sansserif font for the rest of the ad for some contrast. I
aligned each text box with another set of text so the
image would feel balanced and complete. For the image I cropped it within a circle to give it a different
look than just a rectangular picture.

Process
I started with making different sketches of how I could
format the flier. After I made sketches, I used InDesign to create this flier. I started by arranging the text
into different sections. I then played around with
fonts and sizing to get the look I desired. I arranged
the items in a visually pleasing way, making sure I paid
attention to alignment and allowing white space.

TextWrangler
Process
I used TextWrangler to create this project. I started
with an HTML file. In the HTML file I changed the
text to match my project description. I then used a
CSS file to edit the colors and layout of the HTML.
In the CSS file I edited the padding and width of the
body to accommodate my text and to avoid any orphans. I have been working in another class this semester with HTML, so I found it easy to change the
coding in the two files.
