Run-dry protection of pumps
If the monitoring task involves
detection of whether the pump is
actually delivering the medium,
monitoring of the pumps feed
pressure is not sufficient. The
FCI compact monitors the actual
flow rate and indicates a change in
the flow speed. Pump systems are
thus securely run-dry protected.
Repair or replacement costs and
system down-times are eliminated.

Flow monitoring in filling

systems
To meet the demanding requirements of quality assurance in filling
lines, it must be assured that the
dosage rate is always identical
during the filling procedure. This is
another factor that is reliably monitored by the FCI compact.
If an FCI with analogue output is
used, even minor deviations of the
filling volume can be detected.

Many liquid proportioning
applications are timing
dependent.
The FCI compact
monitors the contstant flow
during proportioning procedures and thus ensures
identical flows. With its
excellent response time,
the sensor is perfectly
suited to applications with short
proportioning intervals.

FCI compact RELIABLE DETECTION OF
MINIMUM FLOWS
When monitoring flows in process
installations, it is generally of great
importance to detect variations of
the flow rate with as little delay as
possible.

Chemical industry
If the application involves corrosive
media, the chemical resistance of
the sensor is of great importance.
Versions with ceramic measuring
cell in combination with PTFE process connections and FKM seal
meet such high requirements.
These device types excel in their
extremely fast response times of
less than one second.

Factory automation
TURCK offers versions for two
different flow rates and a choice of
transistor, relay or analogue output.
These devices are typically
designed for applications in which
water or liquid coolants are used
within a cooling circuit and where
machines and tools are lubricated
with oil or grease.

Food & pharmaceutical industry

In this context, not only the reliable
sensor function but also convenient
cleaning options are prime considerations. The measuring pipe is
free of any in-built fixtures and usually features an extremely smooth
surface, so that it gives little cause
to contamination or caking: the
process connection is a DN10 TriClamp flange connector. Due to its
high temperature resistance, the
sensos does not have to be removed for cleaning (CIP.

Dosage rates / laboratory

TURCK offers special versions in
order to monitor the dosage rate in
proportioning pumps in industrial
and laboratory applications. The
sensor is connected to the process via a tube and is capable of
monitoring lowest flow rates of
1 ml/min.
