THE ORIGINS OF J.P. CHENET

The vineyards in the different regions are selected for the
various styles required.
From the moment that the grapes begin to ripen, the
chosen vineyards are monitored with care. Our oenologists
are omni-present during the vinification. They work closely
and share their extensive experience with the local
vine-growers and wine makers.
Each style of wine is especially selected for its quality.

The wines are produced by our partners in the

following regions :
GASCOGNY
LANGUEDOC ROUSSILLON
TANG DE THAU

Q UALITY

IS OUR OBSESSION

AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE GRANDS CHAIS DE FRANCE GROUP AND

THE PRODUCERS. A WIN-WIN AGREEMENT
Key objective: consistency of style from the grapes to the consumers
It is cited as an example in the wine-growing and wine-making industry given the high stakes
for both producers and our company.
This unique concept aims to achieve overall quality by putting in place a consistent technical and
commercial chain covering all stages of the process from the grapes through to the consumers.
It only involves carefully selected suppliers who are able to guarantee the products safety
based on the quality of the grapes and the excellent standards of hygiene in their cellars.
It typifies what a win-win partnership is about:
For the Grand Chais de France group, which is assured of receiving high quality
wines.
For the producers in the partnership, who benefit from guidance to tailor their
production to market needs and from the means of guaranteeing their future.
This system has been in place for over 15 years with some producers. Such loyalty
shows beyond doubt that a global brand like J.P. Chenet can generate synergies that
benefit all parties involved.
It enables J.P. Chenet and its partners to evolve without losing sight of the need to
guarantee the value of the brand and its positioning.

S UBSTAINABLE

DEVELOPMENT FOCUSED ON THE LONG TERM

WHAT MAJOR BENEFITS DO THESE AGREEMENTS OFFER ?

A guarantee of origin : The wines produced are made exclusively from grapes that are grown and vinified by producers belonging to
the partnership.
Regularity of style : Producers commit to respecting the profile defined for each type of wine used in the blends. Their compliance is
controlled by analyses and wine-tasting once vinification is complete.
Controlled yields : Yield is a key factor in ensuring that the finished product reflects the chosen profile. Co-operative cellars take part
in the decisions over conditions of production in order to ensure that the grapes produced are suited to J.P. Chenets style.
Optimised maturity : Maturity is the other key factor to deliver wines that are suited to our brand. Producing ripe grapes is particularly
important to us, as they give our wines the fruitiness that we require. Grapes are harvested according to ripeness guidelines that are
defined in the profiles set out by Grand Chais de France. They are then tasted and analysed to verify that they have reached
complete maturity.
Total traceability : The wines produced come from plots of land that are identified
and registered with the co-operative cellars. The whole process is monitored,
from the harvest of the grapes through to product launch.
An exhaustive list of requisites : It covers such issues as the analytical and sensory
profile required, the exact conditions of growing and vinification, the traceability
criteria, the definition of acceptability thresholds for all the wine components,
storage conditions, monitoring These are used to calculate a supplier score
for each partner that may lead to its status of approved supplier being revoked.
A long-lasting cycle of benefits : The financial involvement of Grand Chais de
France enables the co-operative cellars to themselves commit to long-term
investments. In turn, these lead to improved quality.

T HE U NSTOPPABLE R ISE
The rise of J.P. Chenet is in itself proof of the enjoyment we succeed
in providing our customers throughout the world. This steady
growth is our reward for the efforts we make day after day to
ensure that J.P. Chenet remains successful.
This steady growth enables us to manage the production of
these wines by anticipating the actions we need to take to ensure
brand values and performance remain stable. This is made possible
by considerable investment in terms of industrial plant and
through the existence in France of the largest vineyard in the
world, one that enjoys exceptional riches thanks to its climate.

A dynamic presence in

160 countries.

The true strength of a global brand lies in its ability to deliver

a style and an image that can generate satisfaction across the world.
In addition, unlike traditional French products that are often labelled
as produits de terroir, J.P. Chenet is capable of adapting its offering
as consumer tastes markets evolve. It is therefore able to further raise
its profile and increase its customer base.
