Components
For Creating piping, we should be in Pipe work Application.
To get into Pipe work Application,
Design Pipe work ( Click)

Create zone ( Name as you like) under already created Site.

Create Zone ( Click)
The following is sample equipment for creating piping..

Pipe Routing: 1

Create Pipe ( Name as you like)

under already created Zone.
Create Pipe ( Click)

Name / SSS
( Pipe named as SSS)
Click on OK

Click on OK

Click on Apply
Click on HEAN1.
(HEAN1 is name of nozzle
Of first eqpt.)

Select Tail in place of

Head
Click on Apply.
Click on HEBN1
(HEBN1 ia name of nozzle
of second eqpt.)

Then 2 selected will be

connected with dotted line.
Click on Dismiss.
( To close Create Branch
Window)

To create Components:
Click on Components

Select Auto Conn

Click on Forwards
Select Assemblies in list of
components
(In Assemblies, some
components are grouped as
a single component)
Click on Create

Select Gasket Flange to

Head
Click on Apply
Select required type and
then OK.
Now we can see Gasket
and Flange on HEAN1.
Select Flange Gasket to
Tail
Click on Apply.
Select required type and
then OK.

Click on Dismiss.
Here we can see Gasket and Flanges
on Head and Tail Nozzles.
Here it is Plan North view
(for clarity )
To get Plan North View,
Right Click on screen
Plan North ( Click)

Select Flange on Head side

Select Elbow from component list in Piping Components Window
Click on Create.
Select required type ( In this case it is EA ) from CHOOSE Window.
EA - 90 Deg Elbow
EF 45 Deg Elbow
Now we can see Elbow on Flange on Head.
Change the direction of Elbow to Direct S.

Select Backwards
Select Flange on Tailside
Select Elbow from component list in Piping Components Window
Click on Create.
Select required type ( In this case it is EA ) from CHOOSE Window.
Now we can see Elbow on Flange on Tail.
Change the direction of Elbow to Direct N.
Now your screen will be like this :

Enter Value 1000

Click on
Distance.

Select Forwards.
Select Elbow at Head.
Click on Through Next.

Pipe Routing: 2
Connecting HEAN2 to HEBN2
Create Pipe ( Name as PRT2)
under already created (Piping) Zone.
Create Pipe ( Click)
Click on HEAN2 as Head and HEBN2 as Tail as explained in Pipe Routing :1.

Create Components

( Click)

In this case, Placing Gasket and Flange individually on Head and Tail (not as a group).
Select Forwards mode.
Select Auto Conn.
Select Gasket from list of Components. Click on Create.
Select Flange from list of Components. Click on Create
Select Backwards mode.
Select Branch in Design Explorer..
Select Gasket from list of Components. Click on Create
Select Flange from list of Components. Click on Create

Select Forwards mode.

Select Flange at Head side.
Select Elbow from list of Components. Click on Create
Change the direction of Elbow to Direct U.
Enter Value 3500 in last field in Creating Components Window.
Click on Distance.
Select Backwards mode.
Select Flange at Tail side.
Select Elbow from list of Components. Click on Create
Change the direction of Elbow to Direct U.
Enter Value 3500 in last field in Creating Components Window.
Click on Distance.
Click on Through Next.
Now pipe work like following:

Select Elbow from list of Components. Click on Create

Change the direction of Elbow to Direct N.
Enter Value 2000 in last field in Creating Components Window.
Click on Distance.
Select Elbow from list of Components. Click on Create
Change the direction of Elbow to Direct D.
Click on Through Next.

Adding Components in Pipe Routing 2:

Select second Elbow from Head side in Design Explorer.
Select Forward mode.
Select Reducer from list of Components. Click on Create
Select Reducer type from Choose window (Here it is 50.00 TRUE CONC), Click OK.
Enter Value 1500 in last field in Creating Components Window.
Click on Distance.

Select Valve from list of Components. Click on Create

Select Valve type from Choose window (Here it is FALS GATE), Click OK.
Click on OK on Error Window. (In PDMS, 100mm spool pipe compulsory in this type of
cases).
Now change that spool distance to 300 by Entering value of 300 in last field in Creating
Components Window.
Click on Spool.
Select Reducer from list of Components. Click on Create
Select Reducer type from Choose window (Here it is 100.00 TRUE CONC), Click OK.
Click on OK on Error Window.
Now change that spool distance to 300 by Entering value of 300 in last field in Creating
Components Window.
Click on Spool.

Extending Pipe Routing:1

Select First Elbow from Head side in Pipe Routing:1,

It (Elbow) is highlighted by yellow colour .
Position Drag
Distance
(Click)

Opens Drag Window

Select Direction E
Distance 2000
Click on Apply.
Click on NO on Confirm
Window.
Click on Dismiss on Drag
Window.

Connecting another Branch to Pipe Routing:2

Select First Elbow from Head side.
Select Backwards mode.
Create Components (Click)
Select Tee from list of Components. Click on Create
Select Tee type from Choose window (Here it is 80.00 TRUE RT), Click OK.

Tee is highlighted (Reducing size is looking up) with yellow colour. But Reducing size
should look towards South for our Branch Connection.
To change direction of reduced size,
Orientate Rotate (Click)

Click on Cursor (in main menu in Rotate Window)

Click on Design Point

Change the Direction E

Now Enter Angle 90 Deg. Click on Apply.

Enter Value 1000 in last

field in
Creating Components
Window.
Click on Distance.

Select second Elbow from Tail side.

Create another Tee similarly as above and rotate Tee if required.
Finally routing will be like this:

Select PRT2 from Design Explorer.

Create Branch (Click)
Click OK on Create Branch Window.
Opens Create Branch Window
Select TO Tee from Drop down menu.
Click on Apply and click on Tee from HEA Equipment side.

Create Components

Select Backwards mode.
Select Elbow from list of Components. Click on Create.
Change the direction of Elbow to Direct D.
Select Elbow from list of Components. Click on Create.
Change the direction of Elbow to Direct N.
Enter Value 500 in last field in Creating Components Window.
Click on Spool.

Select Elbow from list of Components. Click on Create.

Change the direction of Elbow to Direct W.
Enter Value 1500 in last field in Creating Components Window.
Click on Distance.
Select Elbow from list of Components. Click on Create.
Change the direction of Elbow to Direct D.

Select Forwards mode.

Select Elbow from Head side.
Click on Through Next.
Select Backwards mode.
Select Elbow from Tail side.
Click on Through Next.
