Rams raise arms in show of solidarity

ST. LOUIS - Before trotting onto the
field for their pregame introductions,
five St. Louis Rams players stood with
their hands raised in a show of
compassion and solidarity for
Ferguson protesters.
"I just think there has to be a change,"
tight end Jared Cook said after the
Rams' 52-0 rout over the Oakland
Raiders. "There has to be a change
that starts with the people that are
most influential around the world.
"No matter what happened on that
day, no matter how the whole
situation went down, there has to be a
change."
Coach Jeff Fisher said he'd not been
aware the gesture had been planned
by the players, all of them black.
Wide receivers Tavon Austin and
Kenny Britt came out together first,
with the move obscured by a smoke
machine in the upper reaches of the
Ed wa rd Jo ne s D ome . Co o k,
Stedman Bailey and Chris Givens
then came out and stood together
with hands raised in the fog.
Some witnesses said Michael Brown
had his hands up before being fatally
shot by police officer Darren Wilson in

August. Brown had been unarmed.

"I don't want the people in the
community to feel like we turned a
blind eye to it," Britt said. "What would
I like to see happen? Change in
America."
After Tre Mason scored on an 8-yard
run to make it 45-0 in the fourth
quarter, he and Britt raised their
hands together.
"It touched a lot of us. It added fuel to
our fire," Mason said.
Cook said players have been too
busy to go to Ferguson, plus "it's kind
of dangerous down there and none of
us want to get caught up in anything."
"It takes some guts, it takes some
heart, so I admire the people around
the world that have been doing it," he
added.
Across the street from the stadium,
about 75 protesters gathered in the
second half as about 30 police
wearing riot gear watched from a
distance. Protesters chanted "Hands
up, don't shoot!" ''No justice, no
football!" ''This is what democracy
looks like," and "We're here for Mike
Brown.

Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson resigns

FERGUSON, Mo. Late on a day
when a large column of protesters
began a 120-mile march to the
governors mansion and several
hundred more laid plans to expand
the movement, Officer Darren Wilson
announced his resignation from the
police force where he served for six

years before fatally shooting Michael

Brown on Aug. 9. Wilson said he was
resigning because of threats of
violence against the Ferguson Police
Department or the public if he
remained on the job, according to a
report in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Intricate Pak-US ties

Muhammad Tahir Iqbal

ust three years ago, USPakistan ties were dipping the

lowest with the harshest of
allegations from the US against the
Pakistan army and its prime spy
agency ISI. Here, the US Joint Chiefs
of Staff Chairman, Admiral Michael
Mullen, was lambasting ISI for having
links with elements bent to harm
American interests in Afghanistan;
and there, the Centcom chief General
James Mattis was demeaning
Pakistans faculties to resist and
combat the onslaughts of terrorists
despite the Pak army winning military
laurels in Swat, Bajaur and Orakzai.
The US media too, ambitiously came
forward ostensibly in the race to
criticize Pakistan. The Wall Street
Journal in an opinion piece in April
2011 went as far as to propose that
Pakistan needed to be given an
ultimatum of the kind it was given
immediately after 9/11.
Now, the scene has changed. Some
faces are also changed, and so are
the ground realities and offensives.
The new Centcom chief General
Lloyd Austin is praising Pakistan
armys committed fight against
terrorism. Lt. General Joseph
Anderson, a senior commander of the
US and NATO forces in Afghanistan,
has also signalled a thumbs up.
However, it is still too early to claim if
this warmth from the US for General
Raheel and his team proves
watershed in the sixty seven years of
soured relations between the two
countries. Time will tell whether the
latest commitments between the
Pentagon and Rawalpindi wear off
the opaque veneer of distrust, or if this
is only a short lull earned to exploit
each others positions.
Take history as a witness, and you will
not be dodged into delusion. The
pages of the past transpire that

relations between two countries have

been symbiotic; America, being
cognisant of the importance of
Pakistans geo-strategic location, has
had its motives, and Pakistan, too has
been presenting itself in order to
extract economic and military
support.
Even Quaid-e-Azam was well aware
of Pakistans strategic
indispensability in conflicting regional
zones. Giving an interview to Life
magazine, he uttered with panache:
America needs Pakistan more than
Pakistan needs America, and that
Pakistan is the pivot of the world.
Being mindful of this reality of the
locale where Pakistan exists, the US
has always sought Pakistans help to
accomplish its strategic ambitions
both in cold war and post-9/11 eras. It
is said that US president Truman
requested Pakistans first Prime
Minister, Liaquat Ali Khan to let the
CIA formulate a base in Pakistan so
as to keep an eye on the Soviet Union.
The request was granted later in 1956
by the Prime Minister, Suharwardi.
Under the agreement, Peshawar Air
Station was leased to the American
army for keeping an eye on the
ballistic missile programme of the
Soviet Union. In 1954, Pakistan went
into Mutual Defence Agreement with
t h e U S, wh e r e u p o n t h e U S
established a Military Advisory Group
in Rawalpindi.
In the 1960s, Ayub Khan allowed US
spy missions to use Pakistans
territory against the Soviet Union, but
the fact remains that the US placed
military and economic embargoes on
Pakistan in the wake of the Indo-Pak
war, which engendered economical
constraints for Pakistan.
During Bhuttos regime, President
Jimmy Carter tightened the already
placed embargoes on Pakistan.

ROSHNI Issue No.75

December 2014

However, Bhutto managed to secure

items to enhance the atomic bomb
project. President Carter and his
administration allegedly threatened
Bhutto to disrupt the process of
atomic proliferation and research to
which the latter did not concur,
leading to his differences with the
Americans.
But it was Zias epoch where the US
needed Pakistan the most, in order to
launch a high octane proxy war
aga inst t he Sovi et U nio n in
Afghanistan with the help of the ISI.
As the US needed Pakistan, all the
pecuniary and military sanctions were
lifted and billions of dollars poured in.
But as the Soviet Union started
disintegrating during this ideologically
charged war, the same Pakistan was
required no more; so the US
Congress adopted the Pressler
amendment, and thereby imposed
the military and economic sanctions
on Pakistan under the well-crafted
excuse of nuclear proliferation. The
relationship further plummeted as
fresh sanctions were imposed under
the Glenn amendment on the heels of
the nuclear tests by Pakistan.
Just as 9/11 befell, Americas watchful
eyes again fell on Pakistan which was
endeared and left with no other option
but to be the most important ally. The
latter had to acquiesce and had to be
a close friend.
This long phase of post-9/11
camaraderie between Pakistan and
America has been the most intricate,
as this is the phase in which the US
unprecedentedly has to endure big
losses in the land of Afghanistan. A
large number of US soldiers have
died and the blame many a time falls
on Pakistan, not to mention its army
and spy agencies. This is the wrath, or
perhaps the despondency of the US
officials that I have touched upon in

the opening lines of this piece.

But now the despondency is giving
way. The reason and meaning are
given by the Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
The new General on our side is
sensibly cautious about the swelling
nuisance of terrorism. He has
exhibited resolve to expunge the
terrorists of all hues, inter alia, the
Haqqanis and the good Taliban.
Hafiz Gul Bahadurs group of North
Waziristan, Mangal Baghs Lashkar-eIslam based in Khyber Agency and the
top of all the Haqqanis have been
severely dealt with, though these
outfits have not been inimical to the
state of Pakistan. For the first time in
the last ten years, demands to Do
more have not been voiced by the
US.
Now the question is where the course
of this renewed relationship will lead
to. Much hinges upon the turf of
Afghanistan. Too much Indian
involvement in Afghanistan under the
nose of the American presence with
wrapped designs to bolster the
proxies into Pakistan would definitely
invite Pakistans interest in securing
strategic depth; in order to counter
anti-Pakistan groups. Thus, relations
would never see the ray of hope.
Pakistan has shown its commitment to
exterminate terrorists and now it is
Americas turn to play its role and force
the actors involved to wean off antiPakistan terrorists nurturing on the
bordering areas of Afghanistan.
Commitments from both sides can
potentially be the way out of this
distrust, and a way forward too.

Al-Sallami, father of Luay Al
Sallami passed away.
Sister Shakra Baigs brother
passed away in
Pakistan.

Expatriates born
in Saudi Arabia
Abdulateef Al-Mulhim

ood morning dear readers.

Please meet Khalid. He is a
Pakistani. He and his sister
are approaching their 60s. Yes, you
heard me right I said 60s. So, what is
so unusual to meet a Pakistani and his
sister? Well nothing strange except
that both were born in Dhahran, Saudi
Arabia but their passports say that
they are born in Lahore, Pakistan.
What is ironic is that if his companys
work contract is over or terminated,
then he and all his family will have to
leave the Kingdom. Oops, did I say
that Khalid is approaching his 60s and
he is born and raised in Saudi Arabia?
Khalid and his sister were born during
the mid-fifties in Saudi Arabia when
their father was working at Saudi
Aramcos planning department.
Khalid and his sister were born in the
same hospital in Dhahran two years
apart. When they were very young
they traveled with their mother to
Pakistan. I am sure the grandparents
wanted to see their grandkids. And at
that time like many other places
around the world, children at that age
usually had their names added to their
mothers passport just before
processing and obtaining their birth
certificates.
So when they were in Pakistan, and
planned to travel back to the Kingdom
on their own passports, most likely the
passport department just put the
birthplace as Lahore. And maybe it did
not make a difference at that time
because the mom and dad thought it
would be few years and everybody
would return to Pakistan for good and
may not be back in Saudi Arabia
except during the Haj season. But, for
the information of the reader, Khalid is
still in Saudi Arabia.
There many others like Khalid and his
sister. There are many expatriates
who are born and raised or just raised
in Saudi Arabia but never become
Saudis. And sometimes, it is a
dilemma for many. There are many in
the Kingdom who lived and worked for

ROSHNI Issue No.75

December 2014

tens of years and their friends and

many of their families are in Saudi
Arabia.
Many expatriates from Asia would be
lost in the streets of Manila, Delhi or
Karachi but they know every street of
Dammam or Riyadh. And the biggest
shock is for their children especially
the ones who are in their teens. If they
have to go back to their home country,
they have to start making new friends
and adjust to their new environment in
their home country. The bottom line is
that we saw an increase in the number
of visas for expatriates applying for
jobs in the Kingdom and the
expatriates will be here for a long time
to come if not forever, so, it is
important to make some changes to
the rules with regards to the
expatriates and their status in the
Kingdom especially those who had
been in the Kingdom for a long time.
And just few weeks ago, a plan has
been announced to rename the word
(Iqama) to (Hawyat muqeem) which
means (expatriate ID) and this can
make difference. Dont get me wrong,
as I am pro- Saudization. I want to see
Saudi young men occupying every job
in the Kingdom, be it gardener,
mechanic, technician or any other job.
But, we all know that we in Saudi
Arabia will be in great need for
expatriates. And many expatriates
now not only consider Saudi Arabia as
their work place but many of them
consider Saudi Arabia as their home.
There are many ways that we Saudis
and expatriates can benefit from each
other. There can be more schools for
both Saudis and expatriates and there
can be campuses of f oreign
universities that can take the
expatriates children and can also take
some Saudis who are interested in
learning in these universities. Saudis
and expatriates can join hands and
continue building the country and it
would be beneficial if we can modify
some of the rules that can benefit both
the Saudis and the expatriates.

Future of Kashmir at stake

Nilofar Suhrawardy

he Indian state of Jammu and

Kashmir (J&K) is the only state
where Muslims are not in a
minority. The five-phase election
process has begun there, the results
of which are scheduled to be declared
on Dec. 23. Bharatiya Janata Party
(BJP) is apparently confident that the
Modi wave will help it win J&K
assemb ly el ections. BJPs
confidence rests partly on it having
secured victory in the three out of six
seats in the Lok Sabha from this state.
The Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP) won the other three seats.
Congress and the Nat ional
Conference, however, failed to clinch
any victory. Currently, the NC rules
the state with the support from the
Congress. It may not be wrong to
assume that J&K assembly elections
may play a decisive role in pushing
NC out of power. However, there is no
guarantee that BJPs success on 50
percent of seats from J&K would be
repeated in assembly elections.
There is a major difference between
elections to J&Ks six Lok Sabha
seats and that of its assembly, which
has 87 seats. In the Lok Sabha polls,
the BJP succeeded in winning only
32.4 percent of votes, a political
reality that is likely to display itself
more strongly in assembly elections.
This is supported by first phase of

polling to 15 assembly seats

recording turnout of 70 percent
voters. During Lok Sabha polls, the
voters turnout from these areas was
less than 36 percent.
Undeniably, ever since its success in
Lok Sabha polls, political tide appears
to have favored BJP fairly strongly in
several assembly elections. At the
same time, it cannot be ignored that
BJP has tasted greater success in
states where its key rival is the
Congress. The results have not
favored it totally in states where
regional parties appear to play a
strong role. This political reality
manifested itself recently in results to
Maharashtra assembly, where
regional parties like Shiv Sena and
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) still
enjoy considerable support. Thus,
despite BJP having emerged as the
leading party, winning 122 of 288
seats in Maharashtra assembly, it
failed to win enough number of seats
to be able to form the state
government on its own steam.
BJP cannot afford to remain oblivious
of the role that regional parties and
their leaders can play in J&K
assembly elections. In the outgoing
st ate assembly, BJP has 11
members. NC (28), PDP (21),
Congress (17), Panthers Party (3)
while four are independent members

and three are from three other parties.

There is no denying that the phase
during which 2008 J&K assembly
elections were held was not affected
by any Modi wave. BJPs success on
11 seats in 2008 J&K assembly polls
compared to its victory on only one
seat in 2002 assembly elections was
definitely a major success for this
party. If BJP could increase its
position in 2008 J&K assembly
elections without any Modi wave and
without being in power at the center,
the party has all the reason to be
confident that it can do the same
during these polls, that too with a
greater impact.
However, it may be recalled that
though BJP performed extremely well
in Lok Sabha elections, its success
was primarily confined to the Hindi
belt. J&K falls in that group of states,
which are not in the Hindi-speaking
belt. So far, political scenario in South
Indian states has been given
importance while studying their
political culture from the angle of their
not being a part of the Hindi belt. The
same approach needs attention in
J&K. In fact, considering the
discriminatory approach that tends to
be exercised toward Kashmiri
Muslims from largely communally
oriented, extremist parties with an
anti-Muslim bias, this approach
needs greater attention in J&K. Just
as it is too early to expect a grand
success for BJP in certain states
outside the Hindi-speaking belt, the
same may be said about its prospects
in J&K. BJP may certainly succeed in

Bhopal: A metaphor
Vandana Shiva
ecember 3, 2014, marks the
30th anniversary of the
terrible Bhopal gas tragedy,
which killed more than 3,000 people
almost immediately, another 8,000 in
the following days, and more than
20,000 in the last three decades.
Despite the tragedy of humongous
proportions, the people of Bhopal are
still fighting for justice despite the
apathy they continue to face. Bhopal
was a watershed moment. The
tragedy woke up the world to
industrial, chemical violence. The
chemicals being manufactured at the
Bhopal plant had their roots in
warfare.
Bhopal gas tragedy was a political,
economic, legal watershed for India
and the planet. It was a toxic tragedy
at two levels the leakage of a toxic
gas from a plant producing toxic
pesticides, the continued presence of
350 metric tonnes of hazardous toxic
waste from the now-defunct Union
Carbide India Ltds plant in Bhopal,
combined with a toxic influence of
co rpo ra ti on s on cou rts an d
successive governments. Legally,
Union Carbide and the US courts
escaped liability and responsibility for
the damage, setting a precedent of
governments shrugging their duty to
protect their citizens, taking away
citizens rights and sovereignty in
order to make settlements with
corporations.
The cases brought by the victims to
US courts were dismissed on the
grounds that the appropriate platform
was the Indian legal system, though
other cases involving US
corporations and foreign victims were
being heard in US courts. In 1999,
when the victims again approached
the US federal court seeking
compensation for the 1984 incident
as well as for the alleged ongoing
environmental contamination at and
around the Bhopal plant site, the case
was dismissed again.

In 1989, the Indian Supreme Court

approved a settlement of the civil
claims against Union Carbide for
$470 million. The state forcefully took
over the representation of the victims
on the principle of parens patriae
(Latin for parents of the nation) a
doctrine that grants the inherent
power and authority of the state to
protect persons who are legally
unable to act on their own behalf.
A criminal lawsuit against Union
Carbide and Warren Anderson, its
former CEO, continues since 1989. In
June 2010, a court in India handed
down a verdict in the case. It found
Union Carbide India Ltd. and seven
executives of the company guilty of
criminal negligence (this came after
the September 1996 order that had
reduced their charges). The company
was required to pay a fine of Rs
500,000 ($10,870) and the individuals
were each sentenced to two years in
prison and fined Rs 100,000. On
August 2, 2010, the Central Bureau of
Investigation filed a petition with the
Supreme Court seeking to reinstate
the charges of culpable homicide
against the accused. In May 2011, the
Supreme Court rejected this petition
and declined to re-open the case to
reinstate harsher charges.
However, after the protests of the
Bhopal survivors in November 2014,
t he go vernme nt p romise d to
strengthen the curative petition that
Dow Chemical was already facing in
the Supreme Court. The petition is
designed to address inadequacies in
the 1989 settlement on the basis that
the correct figures for dead and
injured were not used. The Indian
government is seeking an additional
amount of up to $1.24 billion, but
Bhopal survivor groups, quoting the
Government of Indias published
figures (Indian Council of Medical
Research, epidemiological report,
2004), say the required settlement
amounts to $8.1 billion.

ROSHNI Issue No.75

December 2014

On February 6, 2001, Union Carbide

Corpo-ration became a wholly owned
subsidiary of the Dow Chemical
Company following an $11.6 billion
transaction approved by the boards of
directors of Union Carbide and the
Dow Chemical Company. Owning
means owning both, assets and
liabilities. However, Dow would like to
disown the Bhopal gas disaster. While
Dow wants immunity from liability in
the case of deaths and diseases
caused by Union Carbide in Bhopal, it
has accepted liability for harm caused
to workers of Union Carbide in the US.
In January 2002, Dow settled a case
brought against its subsidiary UCC by
workers exposed to asbestos in the
workplace and set aside $2.2 billion to
address future liabilities. The case
was filed before the acquisition of
Union Carbide by Dow.
This pattern of double standards, of
privatising profits and socialising
disaster runs through the pattern of
corporate rule being institutionalised
since the Bhopal tragedy.
On
October 15, 2014, the Environmental
Protection Agency, in spite of protests
from citizens and scientists, gave final
approval to Dows Enlist Duo
genetically engineered corn and soya
resistant to round-up and 2,4-D, or
2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid,
which was one of the ingredients in
Agent Orange, the Vietnam War
defoliant that was blamed for
numerous health problems suffered
during and after the war.

he evolution of a society is
based upon the determination
of rights and duties. It is the
responsibility of the ruler or the State
to ensure compliance by the people
and to punish the negligent. Since the
duty of one is the right of another, any
failure in the performance will surely
lead to the extortion of people's rights.
This is the basic concept of every
social system though we may not like
its particular manner of determination
of duties. Islam far surpasses others
in this regard. It begins by fixing the
rights and duties of people. It reminds
the State of its responsibilities. It goes
still further and makes an individual

is a noble act; but emotions, such as
respect, love, kindness, cannot be
measured by any scale, nor can be
commanded. Therefore, the reward
for such noble feelings will be AllahSWT's Pleasure. Since this Surah
deals especially with the rights of
women, it has been named An-Nisa'

Even mild heart disease

puts diabetic patients at risk
The researchers analysed data on 1,823
diabetic patients who underwent CCTA to
detect and determine the extent of
coronary artery disease.

New York - A large-scale study

involving 40,000 patients from 17
centres around the world has found
that diabetic patients with even mild
coronary artery disease face the risk
of a heart attack.
Researchers at the University of
British Columbia and St. Pauls
Hospital in Vancouver analysed data
from the Coronary CT Angiography
Evaluation For Clinical Outcomes: An
International Multicenter (CONFIRM)
Registry.
The registry, which has cardiac
computed tomography angiography
(CCTA) data on 40,000 patients from
17 centres around the world also has

five-year follow-up data on 14,000

patients.
The researchers analysed data on
1 , 82 3 di a b e t i c pa t i e n t s w ho
underwent CCTA to detect and
determine the extent of coronary
artery disease.
The researchers found that both
obstructive and mild or nonobstructive coronary artery disease
as determined by CCTA were related
to patient deaths and major adverse
cardiovascular event (MACE).
More importantly, the study found that
the relative risk of death or MACE for
a patient with mild coronary artery
disease was comparable to that of
patients with single vessel obstructive
disease.
Our five-year follow-up data

suggests that non-obstructive and

obstructive coronary artery disease in
diabetic patients are both associated
with higher rates of mortality, said
study co-author Philipp Blanke,
radiologist at the University of British
Columbia and St. Pauls Hospital.
The CONFIRM Registry is the
largest long-term data set available
and allowed us to evaluate the longterm prognostic value of CCTA in
diabetic patients, added study coauthor Jonathan Leipsic, vice
chairman of department of radiology
at the University of British Columbia.
The results were presented at the
annual meeting of the Radiological
Society of North America (RSNA)
Monday.

hat kind of scripts you are

reading right now and
what are the genres
coming your way?
The genres coming my way are
typical commercial entertainers,
which is why I have done so many of
them. I love that kind of cinema and as
an audience I like to watch these
films. Next year I will be venturing into
different kind of stuff, starting with
A.R. Murgadoss film, is a womancentric action-oriented film that I am
very excited about.
Have you started training for that
film?
I do have to train a lot, but am waiting
for Murgadoss sir to come to Mumbai
and tell me which martial arts form he
wants me to train in. I love the fact that
all his films make so much sense and
have a gripping story.
Its hard to imagine someone like
Murgadoss, who has such a slight
frame, can have such a violent streak
in his films
(Laughs) Yeah! His looks are very
contradictory, but he is a genius.
You say you enjoy doing masala
movies, so does something like
Action Jackson, which falls in the
no-brainer zone, help connect
with a larger audience?
I think yes, because wherever I have
reached today, its because of such
films, right?
Not all of them though. In fact, there
are some that make a lot of sense
(She fills in) Like a Lootera, yes. But

for me it is very important that I reach

out to more people and make them
happy, entertain them. I am not here
to prove what a great actress I am.
Why not? We saw that in Lootera.
If I have to prove it, I wont do it. If it is
seen in my work, it is fine. But nobody
said that I couldnt act from my first
film. I was appreciated in Dabangg,
however limited my role in that film
might have been. Whats wrong with a
film doing well at the box office and
me being appreciated?
Do you get confused while
selecting a script?
No, so far I have not been confused.
Because like I said, I would like to do
films which I would also like to see as
audie nce. T hankfu lly, I h ave
connected with the audiences and
thats why my films have done better
than the others. I wont say no to a film
thinking I have done too many of that
kind. I am very instinctive. Today if a
commercial pot-boiler comes to me,
and if its good, I will do it. I dont
complicate my life by thinking too
much. Id rather go with what my heart
says.
Speaking of heart matters, are you
dating Arjun Kapoor?
Just because you are seen together
that doesnt mean you are dating.
You have recently worked with
Rajinikanth in Lingaa and also
attended the music launch of the
fi l m . Co u l d yo u s ha r e t he
experience?
Its something I have never seen

before. Whenever anybody would say

his name, the crowd would erupt and
start screaming hysterically. Some 25
people must have spoken on stage
that day. I was wondering what to say,
as I dont even speak the language.
When my turn came, I didnt know
how the audience would react. They
clapped a little bit so I was like ok
thank God. I introduced myself as the
superstars heroine and the crowd
went mad. I added that it didnt feel
like my first Tamil film because they
treated me like a queen and that I
hope to get accepted by them. Then I
got a little carried away and said All
the Rajini fans, dont miss the chance,
Linga dance Linga dance (laughs). It
was a crazy day and I loved it.
How much security does
Rajinikanth have?
That day, there was only event
security. On the sets, he has two
security guards. More than anything
else, because of the respect that
people have for him, no one would
cross their limits with him. They really
worship him there.
Is this what actors live for? Is this
what you aim at, this kind of fan
euphoria?
I guess some people might live for
this. But for me its unnerving because
I sometimes feel Why me? Its not
like you dont want it; we all work
towards it. But its very contradictory;
there are times when you want to be
left alone. I tell myself that I must be
doing something right to get so much
love. I am still learning. But I have
lived a normal life and now I cant do
that. There is a little void but I am living
the dream for sure.
Coming back to your film Action
Jackson, is it true that you are not
happy about not being prominently
featured on the poster?
No, there is no truth to it. I couldnt
make it for the first event because I
was committed elsewhere. I believe
that no matter what I do, I need to see
it through till the end, come what may.
When I signed the film I knew there
are other actresses in the film. I am
not an insecure person. Its a Prabhu
Deva film and I trust him completely.

Once there were three turtles. One

day they decided to go on a picnic.
When they got there, they realized
they had forgotten the soda. The

Suddenly the little turtle popped up
from behind a rock and said, "If you
