INTRODUCTION
Tea is one of the most refreshing and popular beverages of the
world. India is one of the largest tea producers in the world.
Indian tea is the finest quality in the world. Tea is being
cultivated in the high ranges of Northern and Southern India.
The best quality tea are CTC and Orthodox Assam Tea
respectively. The consumption is above 600 million kgs per year
The export market for Indian teas are mainly in the Russian
and CIS countries with 90 Million kgs of the total exports are
going to this countries. this is equivalent to 43% of Indians tea
exports. India exports tea to most of the Uropian countries,
USA, Jappan, West Asian and the Asia Pacific region, infact ,
there is hardly any country where Indian tea is not found

The Tropical Plantation Ltds in South India located in Peermade
Thaluk of Keralas Idukki District. The other estate in Kottayam
District
The founder of the tropical plantation Mr. P. T Thomas in 1924
They have Rubber and Coffee, Cardamom, Pepper, estate in

CONNEMARA TEA PRODUCTS


WITHERING
The withering is a process by which the moisture content in the
cells saps are removed and the cells saps are concentrated
during withering a chemical contributing color to the tea liquor
CRUSHING TEARING AND CURLING (C.T.C)
The process is C.T.C in the OTC machine the withered leaves
which are pre conditioned by means of the shredding machine
and rotor van are crushedturn and curled. During the crushing
action the cells are crushed and the saps in the cells are
extracted
FERMENTATION
The withered leaf passed through CTC machine will be put in a
fermenting drum for oxidation. The dhool crushed leaves will be
kept in a fermenting drum for about 60/90 minutes for
oxidation
FIRING
The main object of firing is to arrest the fermentation. As soon
as the essential for oxidation process is killed and these the

fermentation stopped. The dries mouth tea should have 3-3.2%


moisture only
GRADING
Grading is a process of which the different sizes of tea particles
are separated using a meshes.
Each size will have a particle name BOP, PF, RD & HOTEL
Brand. The finishing products should be black, grainer and face
from stalk and fibre

CONCLUSION

CONCLUSION
The project entitled ORGANIZATIONAL STUDY AT
TROPICAL PLANTATION among the workers is so
designed to evaluate the satisfaction level of workers
regarding various programs and also to evaluate their
suggestions. Survey was conducted in CONNEMARA
TEA. The project gave an opportunity to acquire more
knowledge about various welfare programs. And also
the attitude of workers regarding various programs.
Data analysis is done through records and
results were interpreted. The study reveals that workers
are fully satisfied with the programs. They needed
some improvement in advertisement. They have
maintained the quality of the product continuously. For
the improvements of production full participation from
the workers are needed. For that management should
consider their suggestions. From the study it can
conclude that the company is maintaining the labor
welfare programs effectively.

The training provided knowledge about the product


carried out in the concern. The program helped us to
gain knowledge about the practical things that are
carried out in the concern.
On the completion of our training conclude that this
training helped us to poses adequate knowledge about
the various functions of the organization.
