The macromodel function f is obtained for a given IP macroblock simulating different input sample streams with several
values of the input metrics: the average input signal probability
Pin, the average input transition density Din, the input spatial
correlation Sin and the input temporal correlation Tin. For a
given IP macro-block with a number of primary inputs r and an
input binary stream q of length s is:

Once the input metrics are selected, the input sequences are
computed by our GA in [19], [20]. Monte Carlo zero delay
simulation technique [8] is performed and for the IP macroblocks, the power dissipation is obtained by our macromodel
function. The interpolation scheme [11], [12] can be applied
(to improve the power sensitivity concept), if the input metrics
do not match on their characteristics.
