Anuban Weekly Outline

This week we are learning:

The 5 Senses and Father's Day

Circle Time Review

In circle time we are going to be preparing
for the Father's Day show, learning a song
and dance performance that we can show to
the dads on Father's Day. I hope they will be
proud! Some of the students will also be
making a short speech on the day in
English, and I will help them prepare for this
as well.

Activity Time
.Complete the 5 senses booklet Prathom science preparation work.
Sensory apparatus worksheet students have to label the different parts of the
body that we sense with.
Audio activities explain the difference between loud and quiet using music.
Tactile activities testing out surfaces to identify if they are rough, soft,
smooth..etc.
This week the students will be completing activities based around their 5 senses.
This is a really fun topic because it teaches them to describe how they interact
with the world, and encourages some really physical activities. The students will
explore different sensations through different media touch through physical
interactions in the classroom and playground; sound through listening to music
and sounds; taste through food; sight using light and dark; and smell by following
their nose. We will try to engage in experiments so that the students understand
the real world applications of the vocabulary and grammar they are learning.

P1 Preparation
(T. Mike)
Phonics
This week in phonics we are going to
review the sounds from last week (st
and ft) to make sure the class
remember them. Then I am going to
introduce 3 new end sounds. These
are mp (lamp, stump, hump, pump,
jump, stamp, plump), sk (desk, tusk)
and lt (belt, met, kilt, quilt). We are
going to practice building up the
blends and making them into words
on the board. Then we will play
several games to get used to the new
material before we complete some
exercises in the Pelangi 3 Activity
book.

New (letters/sounds/vocabulary)
Sense, touch, taste, smell, hear, see
Mouth, tongue, hands, ears, eyes
Sweet, salty, sour, bitter
Soft, rough, hard
Loud, quiet
Good, bad.

Maths
This week in Maths we are going to
spend 1 lesson finishing off a set of
addition and subtraction sums to make
sure the class are all up the same point.
We are then going to focus on learning
more mathematical terms that will be
featured in the P1 entrance exam, such
as greater/less than, counting
forwards/backwards and bigger/smaller.
We are going to do lots of examples on
the board and then complete sums I write
on the board into English notebooks. We
will then complete the exercises from the
P1 prep book on these areas, with
corrections and feedback being given.
