For all other programmes the marks secured at the Common Admission Test in
the subject that qualifies the candidate for admission to the programme
alone will be considered for preparing the Rank list. However, in the case
of programmes where multi-disciplinary Tests are conducted, rank lists are
drawn up on the basis of the Percentile Index determined by the formula,
where n is the number of candidates appearing for the Test in a
particular subject and p is the position according to the CAT score. The
Percentile Indices are then integrated to obtain the relative position of
the candidate in the rank list for that particular programme.
Candidates, appearing for Test 101, Test for First Degree programmes in
Engineering and Technology, should have scored a minimum of ten marks for
each subject (PCM) of the paper (101) to be eligible to figure in the
respective rank list. This requirement of minimum marks, however, will not
be applicable for candidates coming under SC/ST communities.
