ORGANIZATION OF KEMENTERIAN BELIA DAN SUKAN (BELIA)

Objectives
Malaysian youth to create a personalized integrated both spiritual and physical akliah, responsible,
independent, voluntary and patriotic enthusiasm and impetus to the progress and prosperity of the
nation, the religion and the country in line with Vision 2020.

Vision
Youth community that existed in 2010 will have a wealth of knowledge, skills, practice good values
through quality lifestyle and the spirit of high patriotism and volunteerism to meet the challenges of
globalization as a major contributor to social and economic development of the country.

Mission
Build a generation of youth who are skilled in the areas of leadership, entrepreneurship, and
organizational management skills to foster values and a quality lifestyle to strengthen national
integration and national identity of Malaysia in line with Vision 2020.

Functions

1. Providing educational programs and training to young people, jointly organized by the public
sector, private sector, youth organizations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs)
2. Strengthen leadership development programs and build the strength of character to build up,
the family, religious and community so that youth can effectively serve
3. Strengthen entrepreneurship training programs, as well as ICT and providing business
opportunities to the youth so that they become self-reliant and build successful careers
4. Empowering youth to be able to attract the youth of the community to support and participate
in youth activities
5. Increase volunteerism and patriotism as well as provide an understanding of the concept
community or globalization and international relations among youths
6. Promote, implement and provide facilities and activities of active and healthy lifestyles among
young people
