COURSE OUTLINE
GC 606 (PHILIPPINE VALUE SYSTEM)
I. Course Description:
This subject acquaints the students with the Filipino value system, trends and
issues as they affect and relate to productivity and organizational effectiveness. The
emphasis is placed on the process of value clarification to equip the students with skills
of choosing values that are applicable to make decisions and strategies to effect
productivity and effectiveness. The course also attempts to increase the students
awareness on the search for and the use of positive Filipino Values.
II. General Objectives:
At the end of the course the students should be able to:
1. gain deeper understanding on the nature and source of values;
2. analyze the different values practiced by Filipinos;
3. develop personal values that are truly humane and are responsive to the need of
the society.
