A Brief History of GreenField

GreenFields origins derive principally from the Standard High-Pressure
Compressor business of Sulzer Burckhardt in Switzerland and include all the
physical assets and technological know-how, which is embodied in its dedicated staff of professionals and its well-known products. In addition to this
great legacy from Sulzer, GreenField has been further enriched through the
acquisition of the company m-tec (formerly a Mannesmann unit) in Germany
and Henderson International Technologies (a renowned industrial gas
pioneer) in the USA.
In March 2007 GreenFields businesses have been taken over by Atlas
Copco. Operating as a brand within the Atlas Copco Group GreenField today
has access to over 150 markets worldwide which are served through the
production facilities in Switzerland, Brazil and the United States. The center
of Excellence of GreenField is in Pratteln near Basel, Switzerland.
GreenField, with a century of experience in high-pressure technology, is
able to provide their customers with the most reliable, technologically
advanced equipment available for Industrial Gas and NGV compressions
and dispensing applications, as well as compression systems for seismic
exploration.

Especially for the seismic industry we have developed a compressor system
providing the seismic companies with a highly flexible source of high-pressure
compressed air as power source for air guns.
During the design of the seismic compressor system a special attention was
paid to ensure accurate operation and energy consumption savings.
The seismic compressors are tested during operation at an inclination angle
off 22.5. These tests were witnessed and verified by the Lloyds Register.
