The learning objective for this assignment is to learn how to use technology tools to receive

instruction and ultimately collaborate on an online marketing plan in order to market a business
consulting service on the internet. The group of thirty learners live in several different cities
across the United States. Before we can learn to market online we must learn to use technology
tools to communicate and collaborate. In order to do so, as manage, I have instructed the
employees to create email accounts if necessary and send a message to me at kcq2@netzero.net.
Then, I return their message with instructions for signing up for Skype. Once everyone has the
others Skype ID and email address I will create a Wiki with the instructions for the assignment
in full.
1. Post name, Skype name and Email address on new wiki site .

2.Got to Wiki Site to find out who all is in your group and receive group assignments.
3.Go to YouTube.com ( create Google account if necessary,) and choose one video on
training employees with Web 2.0 and one video on marketing products and services online
and one video on collaboration over distance/time.. Write a summary of each video and
post it in the video section of the Wiki. Each employee then must respond to the others
summary and make suggestions for a better understanding of the concepts involved in
online collaboration.
4.Return to Wiki for instructions on how to use Skype audiovisual features such as video
call, video messaging and screen sharing.
5.Submit a 5 page paper on your experience with emails, Skype, You Tube, and Wiki
during this assignment.
6.Save all work from this assignment for Assignment 2 which will involve using online
collaboration in order to create an online Marketing Plan.
The sequential advancements in instruction design led may outline how technology,
pedagogy, and content knowledge became a multifaceted concept that incorporated the
three fields of instructional design study. The outcome is known a TPACK which is a
blend of knowledge of technology, pedagogy and content within one learning
environment. For this assignment The following table represents the breakdown of the
TPACK components within the instructional design.
Technological Knowledge
Technology will be taught before use in online collaborations through hands on
training with access to computer hardware/software by teacher/learner which include the
use of Internet (Skype/Wiki/YouTube) as means of training and instruction. Skype and
Wiki were chosen because they offer inexpensive, random access to
communication, research and collaboration which makes it more convenient for the
learners/instructor. Both instructor and learners are computer literate but need to learn

how to use the Web 2.0 software for online collaboration. Through the assessment of
learner technological competence and training to improve technological competence
through hands on training with Skype, Wiki and You Tube the instructor integrates
technological knowledge into the instruction design.
Pedagogy Knowledge
The Instructor exhibits pedagogical knowledge because of the sequencing of
teaching activities which go from simple emailing to wiki collaboration. Stages of research
and assessment of acquired/applied knowledge are evident in the You tube research
requirement, summary of article posting to Wiki and the mandates for the criteria of the
five page paper that must be submitted from each group of six learners. Thus, the
assignment purposely progresses from a novice (email) level of online learning to an
intermediate level ( You Tube Sourcing) to advanced levels (Skype/Wiki) online
collaboration in consideration of learners who are just learning to use Web 2.0 software.
Content Knowledge
The instructor attests to content knowledge for this assignment through the
extensive educational background which includes a MBAS in Marketing, Organizational
Management and current pursuit of a MBA in Teaching with Technology with a 4.0
through four courses. The assignment is designed to collaborate with students to
share/gain knowledge of the integration of technology into instruction through the Wiki
collaboration. The purpose of the lesson is to teach learners how to use technology to
collaborate and communicate which will lead to learning/teaching online marketing.
As the assignment progresses in requirements for technological knowledge, content and
pedagogy integration creates subcategories within the TPACK framework.
According to
In practical terms, this means that apart from looking at each of these components in
isolation, we also need to look at them in pairs: pedagogical content knowledge (PCK),
technological content knowledge (TCK), technological pedagogical knowledge (TPK),
and all three taken together as technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPCK).
Thus, the assignment uses the teacher's knowledge of technology for the specific
purpose of training/collaborating with students online about eventually marketing online.
The marketing/technological subject matter and use of the internet combine to form
(TCK). The PCK is represented by the way the assignment gradually progresses in
technological competence requirements in consideration of novice learners and the
study/research into the subject matter before assigning learning activities the TPK is
represented by the way the sequence of technological integration from simple online
communication to advanced software manipulations..
