Thirty-eight teachers and staff attended the Psycho-Spiritual Integration seminar last October 2426, 2014 at Manresa Retreat

House in Quezon City. The team was headed by Sr. Felisa Molina, F.I.
together with Sr. Bema, Sr. Lillian, Sr. Lorena and Ms. Loi. The seminar is part of the on-going
formation provided by the school to the probationary teachers and staff. The seminar aims to help
the participants deepen their self-knowledge especially on the functional, social and personal
aspects of the SELF. The activities include plenary sessions, film-showing, personal reflections,
small group sharing and was concluded with a ritual where each one shared his/her realizations
and journey in life. The seminar helped them become aware of where they came from, accept their
strengths and weaknesses and take personal responsibility towards acceptance and healing. The
participants expressed their joy and gratitude to the school for giving them this formation for their
personal and spiritual growth as well.

Living Up to the Challenge: A Preschool Catholic Education

We, the discerning educative family of Manresa School, faithful to the charism of St.
Candida Maria de Jesus, envision a community where God is Father and all are brothers and
sisters who build a world that is Christ-centered, human and just.
We commit to the integral Christian formation of children and youth into mature Christians
who:

live the values of simplicity, integrity,

inner-directedness and love for the poor;
practice sound judgment and sense of excellence;
and respond to the present challenges of time.

Thus, we become useful members of society and Church. We entrust our efforts under the
maternal guidance of Mary Immaculate our model.

There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes,
a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet
that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows
discord among brothers.
Jesus has a positive attitude towards people of other religions:

A hated Samaritan was the hero of the Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10).
He accepted all people and taught that everyone was deserving of love.
He praised a Roman officer (Luke 19:1-9) saying he had not found faith like his even
from Jews!
