10. Self assessed Score for Academic Performance Indicators (APIs), if required, will be
determined as prescribed by UGC Regulations, 2013, published in the Gazette of India, dated
13-06-2013.

website www.policeuniversity.ac.in. A Demand Draft of Rs. 1,000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PH
candidates) and for the post of Peon Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- (In case of SC/ST/PH Candidate a
sum of Rs.250/-) in favour of Registrar, SARDAR PATEL UNIVERSITY OF POLICE, SECURITY
AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE, JODHPUR (payable at Jodhpur) as prescribed fee should be enclosed
with the application form. For non-residents of State of Rajasthan, irrespective of reservation category,
application fee is Rs. 1,000/-and for the post of Peon Rs.500/-. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH
categories must enclose relevant certificate issued by the competent authority.
The complete application form, with all relevant documents as per the terms and conditions along with
fee as applicable, must reach to this office on or before 20/12/2014 by 4.00 PM.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES: 1. The

www.policeuniversity.ac.in up to 20th December 2014 by 4.00 PM and submit hard copy of


the form along with demand draft of fee, attested copies of the certificates of educational
qualifications, date of birth, experience & caste etc. must reach the office of the Registrar,
Sardar Patel University of Police, Security & Criminal Justice, Jodhpur-342304 up to
20/12/2014 by 4.00 P.M.

Candidate should remit a sum of Rs. 1,000/- (in case of SC/ST/PH candidate a sum of Rs. 500/-)
and for the Post of Peon DD of Rs.500/- (In case of SC/ST/PH Candidate a sum of Rs.250/-) as
application fee (non refundable) in the form of bank draft drawn in favour of the Registrar, Sardar
Patel University of Police, Security and Criminal Justice, Jodhpur and payable at Jodhpur. For
non-residents of State of Rajasthan, irrespective of reservation category, application fee is Rs.
1,000/-.

Those already employed should apply through proper channel. However, they may submit an
advance copy along with fees & required documents to meet the deadline set for receiving the
application.

The University reserves the right to change the total Number of post(s) in each category.

5.

The University reserves the right not to fill the post(s) advertised.

6.

Candidate(s) belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH should indicate their category along with the copy of the
certificate issued by the competent authority.

7.

Merely fulfilling the minimum qualification or the eligibility criteria does not entitle a candidate
necessarily to be considered or called for the Interview.

8.

Reservation will be made as per roster and policy of the Government of Rajasthan.

9.

Candidates desirous to apply for more than one post should send separate Application Form along
with the requisite fee for each post.

10. Reference of advertisement number and post applied for should be mentioned on the envelope
compulsorily.
11. Incomplete application in any respect and application received after the last date will not be

12. The binding of the children on prescribed date as notified by the Government of Rajasthan shall be
applicable.
13. The appointment will be governed by the rules and provisions notified by the UGC/University and
State Government from time to time.
14. To reduce the number of candidates to reasonable size, University may adopt appropriate screening
criteria based on experience/academic qualification/ General knowledge and desirable skill.
15. Service rules and conditions of Sardar Patel University of Police, Security and Criminal Justice,
Jodhpur as amended from time to time will be applicable.

16. Notwithstanding anything contained in any rules these appointments shall be made as probationer
trainee as per State Govt. rules.
17. New Contributory pension Rules, 2004 will be applicable.
18. The University reserves the right: -

i. To fix criteria for screening the applications so as to reduce the number of candidates
to be called for interview.
ii. To conduct written tests to further shortlist the candidates for such posts where no test
is prescribed in the recruitment rules and a large number of applications are received;
iii. To relax any of the qualifications/experience/age at its discretion.
19. Pay Fixation of incumbent already working in any University or Organization of State/ Central
Government will be done as per University/State Government rules.
20. The selection of Non-Teaching Post will be made on the basis of performance in the Written Test,
Skill Test, Interview, academic qualification and experience and on the recommendation of
Selection Committee.
21. No T.A./D.A. will be paid for appearing in screening test/interview.

research at the University/ National level institutions/ industries, including experience of
guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.

Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an
equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree
level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited
foreign university.

ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National
Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like
SLET/SET.
iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause above, candidates,
who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants
Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009,
shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET
for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in
Universities/Colleges/Institutions.
iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which
NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

would be augmented as follows: (i) indexed journals by 5 points; (ii) papers with impact
factor between 1 and 2 by 10 points; (iii) papers with impact factor between 2 and 5 by 15

Notes:
1. It is incumbent on the Coordination Committee proposed in these Regulations and the
University to prepare and publicize within six months subject-wise lists of journals,
periodicals and publishers under categories IIIA and B. Till such time, screening/selection
committees will assess and verify the categorization and scores of publications.
2. The API for joint publications will have to be calculated in the following manner:
Of the total score for the relevant category of publication by the concerned teacher, the
first/Principal author and the corresponding author/supervisor/mentor of the teacher would
share equally 60% of the total points and the remaining 40% would be shared equally by all
other authors.
3. The parameters listed in table of category-III (Research and Academic contributions) shall
have following capping in relation to the total API score claimed by the candidates:-
