I carefully looked at the deaths recorded by the SIU in Ontario for 2013 and, a little less carefully, for

2014. I rounded a good bit for

speed in the extrapolatory math for Canada as a whole and as compared to Germany and U.S. The basic results are pretty clear, though.
Frontline Canadian police carry guns (unlike UK or Japanese police who kill 0 or 1 person per year on average) and are trained more
like U.S police than German police. As a result, in Ontario alone (population 12.85M) there were more shooting deaths by police
officers (9) in 2013 than there were in Germany (8) as a whole (population 80M) in 2013.

extrapolates to ~43 killed, ~30 shooting deaths in Canada (using Ontario as 30% of Canadian
population) which is ~430 killed, ~300 shooting if population were the same as US, ~100 deaths, 70
shooting if population were the same as Germany
