 Training Objective :
The objective of undertaking industrial training was to gain work experience so that our
engineering knowledge could be enhanced and employment prospects could be improved.

The aims of industrial training are:

develop an appreciation of the structure and operation of industrial organisations,

understand the role of the engineer and engineering in industry,
appreciate the importance of good communication and interpersonal skills, and to
develop these skills, and appreciate the ethical basis of engineering practice in
industry

Introduction :
1. Introduction of Technology
Developer of java James Gosling in 1994.
Why name java?
James Gosling and his team members were consuming a lot of coffee while developing this
language. They felt that they were able to develop a better language because of good quality
of coffee they consume. So the coffee had its own role in developing this language and good
quality of coffee exported to the entire world from a place called Java island . Hence they
fixed the name of the place for the language as Java. And the symbol for java language is
coffee cup.
Java technology is both a programing language and a platform. A platform is hardware or
software environment in which a program runs. In this technology all source code is first
written in plain text files ending with .java extension. After compilation of .java file by java
compiler we get a .class file which contain a bytecode the machine language of the of Java
Virtual Machine(Java VM).The java launcher tool then runs your application with an instance
of Java Virtual Machine.

2. Necessity
In this age of internet marketing it is very important to have a website of your own which
would feature your own business.

JAVA runs on various platforms (Windows, Linux, Unix, Mac OS X, etc.).

JAVA is compatible with almost all servers used today (Apache, Glashfish, etc.).
JAVA is Simple.
JAVA is Robust i.e. easy to learn.
JAVA is Secure.
JAVA is compatible with HTML,CSS and programming Languages.

3. Organization

Training Details :
1. HTML
HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) is the standard markup language used to create
web pages. HTML is written in the form of HTML elements consisting of tags enclosed in
angle brackets. A web browser can read HTML files and compose them into visible or
audible web pages. The browser does not display the HTML tags, but uses them to interpret
the content of the page. HTML describes the structure of a website semantically along with
cues for presentation, making it a markup language rather than a programming language.

2. CSS
CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), is used to style and control the layout of web pages. This
language is used to define the presentation of HTML elements on a webpage. CSS can be
used to define colors, fonts, borders, and the layout of a webpage. Cascading Style Sheets
(CSS) is a style sheet language used for describing the look and formatting of a document
written in a markup language.
3. MySQL
The MySQL development project has made its source code available under the terms of the
GNU General Public License, as well as under a variety of proprietary agreements. MySQL

was owned and sponsored by a single for- profit firm, the Swedish company MySQL AB,
now owned by Oracle Corporation.
My-SQL is a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), and ships with no GUI
tools to administer MySQL databases or manage data contained within the databases. Users
may use the included command line tools, or use MySQL "front-ends", desktop software and
web applications that create and manage MySQL databases, build database structures, back
up data, inspect status, and work with data records.

4. Java
Java is a high-level programming language originally developed by Sun Microsystems. It is
complete object oriented programming language. It is a platform independent language. It
runs on a variety of platforms, such as Windows, Mac OS, and the various versions of UNIX.

5. Apache Tomcat
Apache Tomcat is an open source web server and servlet container developed by the Apache
Software Foundation (ASF). Tomcat implements the Java Servlet and the JavaServer Pages
(JSP) specifications from Oracle, and provides a "pure Java" HTTP web server environment
for Java code to run in. In the simplest config Tomcat runs in a single operating system
process. The process runs a Java virtual machine (JVM). Every single HTTP request from a
browser to Tomcat is processed in the Tomcat process in a separate thread.

Project:
The project on which we worked is Online doctor Finder. It is a website make a interaction
between the patients and doctors. In this website patients can search doctors according to
their location. Also show the nearest hospital.

Conclusions :

This training program is an excellent opportunity for us to get to the ground level and
experience the things that we would have never gained through going straight into a job.
It is not only to get experience on technical practices but also to observe management
practices and to interact with fellow workers. Also we learnt the way of work in an
organization, the importance of being punctual, the importance of maximum commitment,
and the importance of team spirit. we think it was really helpful to build up our engineering
knowledge.
we hope that this corporate exposure and technical learnings would help us enhance our
knowledge and help us to grow in future.
