Illness
It is that time again !!!!
Wednesday December 9th
We are looking for volunteers to help out
at a Christmas fair. This can be by giving
time, ideas, or donations for stalls
We would like lots of help for this if you
have any time to spare please see

We will need Prizes for Raffle, Tombola,
bottle stall and anything you think will be
helpful or would like to suggest.
Advent Wreath Workshop
This will be held in the school hall on
Friday 27th November
Starting at 2.00pm
Everyone is welcome to come and help
and if you bring a pair secateurs that’s
even better.
Other faiths Assembly
Tuesday 24th November
Starting at 2.15pm
You are most welcome to join us,
please come to the temporary reception
at the front of school.
We have had a lot of children and staff off in the
last few weeks with a verity of illnesses, to help
keep the spread of these to a minimum ….
we are working especially hard with the children on practicing good
hygiene. We can all play a part to help reduce the transmission of
viruses, including swine flu, by remembering to:
Practicing good hygiene everyone can play their part and help to
reduce transmission of all viruses, including swine flu:
• Wash hands frequently with soap and water to reduce the
spread of virus from your hands to face or to other people.
• Clean hard surfaces (e.g. door handles) frequently using a
normal cleaning product.
• Cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing,
using a tissue when possible.
• Dispose of dirty tissues promptly and carefully.
• Make sure children follow this advice.
If your child is off ill can we please remind you that
you need to ring school on 03102344687 as soon
as you are able. If your child is in afternoon
nursery it is very important that you let us know
before 9.30am as we have to order lunches.
FOOTBALL
Football will continue until 2nd December but
will be suspended until Wednesday 6th January
2010 this is due to Ian’s work commitments.

50th Anniversary
The next event will be the concelebrated Mass on
December 3rd, the feast day of St. Francis Xavier. We
would like as many people as possible who have been
linked to our school or parishes to share our
anniversary experiences and share mass with us.

DARK COLD NIGHTS.. The SFXtra club has
some spaces if you would like to use them.
You don’t have to be working to take
advantage of the club, you may just want a
late night shop without the children or just
time for you. The opening hours are:
7.30 a.m. – 8.45 a.m.
and
3.20 p.m. – 6.00 p.m.

New booking forms will be available from
the school office or see
Mrs. Bowker (Office manager),
Mrs. Howarth (Play Leader) or
Mrs. Hughes (Play Worker).
Building work
The building work has started and it seems to
be going well and on time hopefully it should
be completed for Christmas.
We have some pedestrian access to the front
but please follow the signs to the temporary
reception. However it is not safe for
unaccompanied children to use this as work
vans etc. will be in the area. Could we please
also ask parents not to bring cars into the
entrance as work vehicles need this to be
kept clear.
If you have any messages that don't need to be
given personally could we ask that they be sent
via your children, conveyed over the phone or
sent by e-mail. We will be very grateful.
If your child has passed an exam or gained a
award of any kind please let us know and it
can be put in the news letter
