Menerangkan maksud interpretasi secara khusus
1.0
Introduction
The profession of interpretation began over a century ago, and has undergone different forms
and period of growth in different countries. Most influential developments occurred in the US.
Among the pioneer is Enos Mills, who worked as a nature guide in Colorados Rocky Mountains
between 1889 and 1922. He developed principles and techniques which laid the foundation for
interpretation.
In Australia and New Zealand, the interpretation mostly used in recreational and national park
managements with the model developed in US.
Interpretation in the 1990s uses similar principles to those applied in the field of advertising, in
that both seek to noticed and attract attention, regard novelty and humors as powerful forms of
communication and accept the demand to be frank and honest and to tell the whole picture.
