1. INT. BEDROOM. NIGHT


ROSIE (as a child) lies in a single bed asleep in silence on
her side with her back facing the wall, looking innocent and
peaceful. The words SWEET DREAMS are hung up behind her
headboard, and the camera focuses in on this to establish
the theme.
MUM sits on the bed by her side and sweeps her hand over
ROSIES forehead to push her hair back and kisses her
lightly goodnight on forehead.
MUM
Night sweetheart.
MUM tucks ROSIE into the bed, stands up quietly after saying
goodnight and exits the room turning the lamp off behind
her. She carefully shuts the door behind her, making a
conscious effort to be quiet when she leaves.
FADE TO BLACK
2. INT. BEDROOM. NIGHT
ROSIE (as a child) begins to toss and turn in her bed as if
she is having a bad nightmare. She breathes heavily and
shakes her head from side to side quickly in a restless
motion.
FADE TO BLACK
3. INT. NIGHTMARE. NIGHT
In ROSIES (as a child) nightmare EVYLYN CRICK is rocking on
a chair with a knife psychotically, holding the handle with
one hand and the knife with the other, sniggering .
EVYLYN CRICK
(sniggering)
4. INT. BEDROOM. NIGHT
ROSIE (as a child) wakes up suddenly screaming and crying
looking scared and confused. She sits up in her bed and
rubs her hands into her eyes in a child-like way.
YOUNG ROSIE
(crying)

MUM runs into the room quickly and sits on bed next to
ROSIE. She hugs her and tries to console her as ROSIE
slowly stops crying.
MUM
(concerned and scared)
Youre not having those dreams
again are you?
ROSIE sees the woman from her nightmares stood peering round
the door in a long white night gown and her hair covering
her face.
YOUNG ROSIE
(whispering)
shes behind you.
FADE TO BLACK
5. INT. LIVING ROOM. DAY
ROSIE picks up an old photograph of her and MUM from when
she was younger off the window sill. She looks down at it
and smiles.
FADE TO BLACK
6. INT. CLASSROOM. DAY
ROSIE stands at the front of a classroom full of loud
chatting young students. She orders them to be quiet.
ROSIE
(raised voice and clapping)
Be quiet class, today were going
to study the book, Somnium.
She turns away from the class to write the word somnium
onto the white board behind her for them to see.
FADE TO BLACK
7. INT. HOUSE. EVENING
Banging and strange noises coming from the next room. ROSIE
looks confused and goes to investigate. Camera follows her
from behind to the door. She finds the door is locked and
looks through the keyhole. The camera reverses through the
keyhole to show her eye close up. A point of view shot
shows an empty room then cuts back to the previous shot

through the keyhole of ROSIE as she moves back. EVYLYN


CRICK then appears behind her accompanied by some intense
music. ROSIE is unaware of this.
FADE TO BLACK
8. EXT. ALLEYWAY. EVENING
ROSIE
(gasping and panting)
ROSIE runs down a dark alleyway frantically away from
something unpleasant, looking behind her frequently. There
appears to be nothing behind her. She breathes heavily and
looks scared and distressed.
FADE TO BLACK
9. INT. BALCONY. EVENING
EVYLYN CRICK, wearing a long white gown, creepily walks
slowly pacing the balcony, watching over ROSIE from above.
FADE TO BLACK
10. INT. BALCONY. EVENING
EVYLYN CRICK turns and stops to look over the side of the
balcony with her hear down and her hair covering her face.
FADE TO BLACK
11. INT. BALCONY. EVENING
Over the shoulder shot from behind EVYLYN CRICK shows ROSIE
walking below looking innocent and relaxed.
FADE TO BLACK
12. EXT. PARK. DAY
Close up of ROSIE and her boyfriend, CRAIG.
ROSIE
(deep breathing)
Whats wrong with me?!
(crying)
CRAIG brings her close and kisses her forehead.

13. INT. BEDROOM. NIGHT
ROSIE lies on her bed in a silent bedroom on top of the
quilt covers with her legs straight. She begins to sob and
her body curls up in towards her as she covers her face to
wipe away her tears.
ROSIE
(crying on her bed and slowly
puts her hands over her face)
14. INT. KITCHEN/CONSERVATORY. NIGHT
The room is brightly lit whilst the conservatory is in the
dark. The dog sits still in the corner of the kitchen and
begins to bark suddenly as if there is something behind the
glass.
DOG
(barking violently)
ROSIE
(in baby-talk type voice)
What are you barking at?
DOG
(continues to bark)
ROSIE walks over towards the glass door to investigate and
strokes the dog. As she looks up to see what she is barking
at through the window, she sees a dark and mysterious
looking figure (EVYLYN CRICK) and jumps back in horror.
ROSIE
(screaming in horror)
FADE TO BLACK
15. INT. BEDROOM. NIGHT
ROSIE runs into her bedroom in panic and turns to close her
door. She holds the handle of the door and shouts to the
outside.
ROSIE
(crying but screaming)
Leave me alone!

(CONTINUED)

Holding the handle, ROSIE slams the door behind looking


extremely frightened and upset.
FADE TO BLACK
16.INT. CAR. NIGHT
ROSIE and CRAIG are driving home from town in the dark.
ROSIE, CRAIG
(laughing and joking)
ROSIE looks up out of the front of the car to see the dark
road ahead. She notices something unpleasant.
ROSIE
(screaming in fright and
placing hand on CRAIGs leg)
STOP!
CRAIG emergency brakes the car to see whats up with
ROSIE. He questions her screaming in concern.
CRAIG
(concerned)
what is it?!
ROSIE
(close up of her crying and
scared, heavily breathing)
FADE TO BLACK
17. EXT. CAR. EVENING
A shot from the interior of the car looking out the front of
the car shows EVYLYN CRICK standing in the middle of the
road in front of ROSIE and CRAIG.
EVYLYN CRICK
(stand in silence, with her
hair covering her face.
Twirling the knife
psychotically from scene 3)
