In the city of Karachi, Alamgir Welfare Trust is the largest provider of goats(bakra) for sadaqa.
Since the last 18 years, Alamgir Welfare Trust is providing these services and excelling in them
and today Alamgir Welfare Trust buys thousands of goats everyday just to provide sadqa
services. Also the meat that is provided by people through sadqa is distributed to the most
deserving people.
According to the tradition of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) through sadaqa (charity) believers are able
to get away from difficulties and troubles in their lives. Therefore charity has been given a lot of
importance in Islam and people are encouraged to do it. But for a normal person it is difficult to
find an animal and do sadaqah therefore Alamgir Welfare Trust not only provides people with
animal but also helps in sacrificing it and getting the meat distributed in the far flung areas
where people are in dire need of it.
Keeping in mind the rising petrol prices and the effect of it on the cost of other things Alamgir
Welfare Trust has started using fuel efficient motorcycles to transport animal from one place to
other so that the cost of doing sadaqah doesnt increases.

Aqiqa Bakra Service

Islam encourages it followers to do aqiqa to celebrate the birth of a new born baby in the family.
It is recommended that aqiqa should be done on the 7th day of birth and it is not very easy for the
new parents to find the animal for aqiqa hence Alamgir Welfare Trust also provides aqiqa
services.

Collective Sacrifice
On Eid ul Azah, Alamgir Welfare Trust provides computerized collective sacrifice. This
computerized system ensures that people have their bookings done months before Eid and they
are provided with the time and day when they can collect their meat.
To perform collective sacrifice Alamgir Welfare Trust builts various teams, each team is
responsible for 20 sub areas and one experienced person is their supervisor. All the sacrifices are
done under their supervision to ensure that everything is done in the right manner. Alamgir
Welfare Trust also collect animals skins and hides and later sell them for money. This money is
used on a variety of services which include welfare of the poor and needy, ration for under
privilege homes, education of needy student and marriages of needy girls.

Token System for Distribution of Meat

In order for meat to reach the deserving people before Eid ul Azha, Alamgir Welfare Trust
distributes token to people so that after the sacrifice they can collect meat. The token service
ensures that the meat reaches the most deserving people.

Haj Services
Alamgir Welfare Trust also provides assistance during Haj. The pilgrims going for Haj are given
various services at Alamgir Welfare Trust. These include complete medical check up including
blood groups, training programs, complete set of book to guide pilgrims and ahram. On pilgrims
return from Haj a welcome camp is also set to honor the pilgrims.
Alamgir Welfare Trust has been the pioneers to start blood group test for pilgrims and
considering the importance of it now the government of Pakistan has also made it mandatory for
all pilgrims to get their blood groups recorded before going for Haj.
In Alamgir Ahram House all the essential items required by Hajis can be found under one roof.

Building Mosques
A mosque is a place where muslim men are required to perform five daily prayers. According to
the tradition of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) a man who makes a mosque Allah makes a home for
him in the heaven. Therefore Alamgir Welfare Trust after proper investigation offers money for
making mosques.

Important Medical Equipments

Alamgir Welfare Trust also offers important medical equipments for patients who are at home
and are recovering. These include oxygen cylinder, suction machines, chairs, beds completely
free by just depositing a security amount as the equipments are returned so is the security
deposit.
Also people donate these items too to Alamgir Welfare Trust so that others can take advantage
of these things too.

Funeral Services
Alamgir Welfare Trust also helps its Muslim brothers in performing the last rituals of their loved
ones. All the materials that are required to perform the abulation of the deceased person, the
coffin and complete arrangement of burial at Khusheedpora Qabristan are being provided by
Alamgir Welfare Trust.

Employment Scheme
Alamgir Welfare Trust realizes the importance of employment in the society and how important
it is for people to earn their livelihood on their own. Hence, Alamgir Welfare Trust has provided
employment opportunities to around 200 people under its employment scheme. Included in these
figures are handicapped people to them special cycles are provided. Amongst the women sewing
machines are distributed.
Ms. Shamim Aktar, is a resident of the Mosa Colony she resides with her father and to earn a
living she teaches Quran to children by going to their homes. She is a patient of high blood
pressure and one day due to her high blood pressure she fainted and was so badly hurt that she
lost her ability to walk. Therefore, Alamgir Welfare Trust has provided her with a tricycle so that
she can continue with her work.

Capital Office
Since the last eight years Alamgir Welfare Trust has started operating from the countrys capital
Islamabad. This office provides various facilities like Sadaqa Bakra Service, Aqiqa Bakra
Service, Collective Sacrifice, Haj Services, Employment opportunities etc.

Keeping in view the popularity of emergency service at Karachi same has been started in
Islamabad and important medical equipments for patients who are at home and are recovering

Iftar boxes are also distributed in Islamabad at various places. These include busy roads,
highways, jails, hospital, orphanages and madarsah. Also the traffic police constables responsible
for maintaining the traffic during Ramadan are specially provided with these boxes

Emergency Relief
Whenever god forbids there is an emergency in Pakistan Alamgir Welfare Trust is always the
first to come into action and help those in need. When there were severe floods in Sindh and
Punjab Alamgir Welfare Trust helped the flood victims in every possible way.

Aid of Flood Victims

In helping the flood victims Alamgir Welfare Trust adopted the international 3R (Rescue, Relief
and Rehabilitation) technique. In the relief work the dedicated team of Alamgir Welfare Trust
was itself involved in the Rehabilitation stage after a careful survey tokens were provided to the
victims. In this stage more than 100 cycles and other essentials were provided to people so that
they can start a new life.

Rescue centre
The numbers of accidents in Karachi are increasing everyday and to cope with such accidents
Alamgir Welfare Trust has set up two rescue centers one in Clifton Teen Talwar and other in
Shaheed Millat Road. In every rescue centre two ambulances are standing 24 hours.
Used Stuff
The stuff that is discarded by people is collected by Alamgir Welfare Trust and maximum use of
it is taken. The old clothes, furniture and unused medicines are distributed to those in need.

Social Responsibilties
Dengue Protection Scheme
In order to prevent people from dangerous dengue bite Alamgir Welfare Trust conducted dengue
killing sprays in various localities.

Waste Management System

The hospital waste that is collected is properly disposed by Alamgir Welfare Trust to protect
environment and that they cannot be used again.

Drivers Awarness Program

Drivers at Alamgir Welfare Trust are given proper training so that they abide by the traffic law.
