Jonahis an example of how we often commit our life to

God butend up spending much of our life running away
from the God that we promised to serve. Maybe you
have already discovered this strange contradiction that
lies at the heart of all our Christian experience. While
loving Christ, you find yourself turning from Christ.
While trusting Christ, you often battle fear and
anxiety. While serving Christ, you sometimes
struggle with disappointment about certain events in
your life. You are not alone!

We can learn many things from studying the life of

Jonah. He teaches us that even in our own weakness
we must confess our failures to God. He teaches us that
our God is a God of unlimited grace and patience. We
also learn from Jonah that our God is a God of love and
is relentless in His pursuit of lost people. We might even
learn that we are not so very dierent from Jonah. Let's
look at the book of Jonah today.

Celebrating the Life of Barbara Newell Davis

The wake times are scheduled for 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm,
Wednesday, Nov. 19; the funeral is at 10 am, Thursday, Nov. 20.
All events are located in the church building. Please be in
prayer for her family as they walk through this dicult time.

Thanksgiving Lords Supper

Join us on Wednesday, November 27, as we reflect in
thanksgiving on our Saviors sacrifice for our sins. We will have
Lords Supper at 7:30 pm.

Ladies Christmas Party

"Wonderfully Made on Fri., Dec. 5, 7:00 PM. The cost is $5
per person. Sign up today. This is for all ladies and young ladies
(6th grade up). Childcare will not be available so please make
plans now for your little ones.

Christmas Eve Lords Supper

Please mark your calendars for Wednesday, December 24, as
we reflect on our Saviors sacrifice for our sins. We will have
Lords Supper at 7:30 pm.

Journey Off the Map - VBS 2015

Mark your calendars for July 6-10, 2015 for VBS 2015! Next
summer we take our kids to uncharted territory where they will
begin to understand that obedience to God can lead them
beyond the expected.
