General Information: Adjectives describe nouns. They give information about something
or someone that we can discover with our senses. They tell how he/she/it looks, feels,
sounds, smells, or tastes.
Some adjectives come from different kinds of animals. They allow us to describe
features that resemble the animal or things that come from the animal. You are probably
familiar with the adjective canine, which describes something related to a dog. See how
you do with the other animal adjectives below.

Sometimes words that are usually nouns can function as adjectives. This
happens when the noun is used to define a noun. Choose and underline the
