ABSTRACT
The purpose of the study was to do research into the waters of river Reque,
located in the city of Reque - Chiclayo, in order to evaluate the physicochemical and
microbiological composition of these waters during the months of May, June, July,
August 2014, and to prove whether the waters of this river are polluted.
To be able to evaluate we proceeded to determine the parameters of Quality
Control of the waters of River Reque: pH, Turbidity, EC, TDS, Chlorides, DT, Ca, Mg,
Alkalinity, Total Suspended Solids, Sulphates, Biochemical Oxygen Demand,
Temperature, Total Coliforms, Thermotolerant Coliforms and to compare them with the
maximum permissible limits, bearing in mind the Ley de Recursos Hdricos (D.S.N
29338) and the Estndares Nacionales de Calidad Ambiental (ECA) for Water
approved according D.S.N002-2008-MINAM in its Category 4 (Preservation of Water
Environment in ponds, lakes and rivers relating to forest) and the Ley General de
Aguas in its Class IV (Water preservation areas of aquatic fauna and recreational or
commercial fishing) at 4 PM, either their physical and/or human activity consequences
within the study area.
The determination of the parameters pH, Turbidity, EC, TDS, chlorides, DT, Ca,
Mg, alkalinity, total suspended solids, sulphates, biochemical oxygen demand,
temperature, total coliforms, thermotolerant coliforms, were analyzed in the
Departamento de Servicios Tcnicos FIQIA.
These samples were taken in dry season during the months of June, July,
August, taking as starting point the reservoir la Bocatoma and the limit between
Reque and Monsef, at the end of which water was obtained, whose quality parameters
are according to the standard for the irrigation water of vegetables Preservation of
Water Environment in ponds, lakes and rivers relating to forest) and the General Water
Law in its Class IV (Water preservation areas of aquatic fauna and recreational or
commercial fishing), which we can consider how optimal.
