Miming actions students have to respond with what the teacher is doing in a
full sentence. Progress to students miming actions for other students.
Completing worksheets for previous topics introducing the students to reading
and constructing full sentences.
Introduce students to the idea of beginning, middle and end using physical
games like position running, building with bodies, etc.
Practice more detailed conversation abilities with students they should be
encouraged to start answering all questions in sentences where possible and
reprimanded for not doing so.
Using full sentences is an important skill for students to have for the
competition so we will practice all of the previously mentioned topics as
well as reviewing those from last term so that students are confident using
a variety of full sentences, both spoken and written. This will also be a
good opportunity for them to practice how to use their notebooks properly
and to begin to write their work in a form more appropriate for Prathom
rather than Anuban students.

Phonics
This week we will focus on the
blended consonants ll and ss as end
sounds. We will learn the following
related vocabulary words: bell, well,
hill, drill, yell, mill, doll, dress, cross,
kiss, press. We are going to use
flashcards to break down the blends
and build them back up so all the
class are comfortable pronouncing
and reading them. Then we will build
up the vocabulary words, for example,
slowly move be and ll closer
together until they make bell. We do
this whilst reading each part out loud.
We are going to play splat and lucky
dip to practice reading the words out.
When the class is comfortable doing
this we will do some exercises in
