The number of errors per 200 transactions is a characteristic of interest in a bank. Table 1,
shows the errors for 20 observations randomly selected from all transactions, where each
observation deals with 200 transactions. Comment on the stability of the process in
controlling these errors by constructing an appropriate control chart. If any observation is
outside the control limits assume that the special cause is identified and find the revised
control limits. Is it feasible to expect an error free performance from this system?

random sample of size 12 from first vendor produces an average delay time of 4.8 days
with a standard deviation of 2.5 days. A random sample of size 14 from second vendor
yielded an average delay time of 3.1 days with standard deviation of 6 days.
