SUPER BOWL HOST COMMITTEE CO-CHAIRS NAME

MAUREEN BAUSCH AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Minneapolis, MN (November 13, 2014) Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee Co-Chairs Doug Baker,
CEO, Ecolab; Marilyn Carlson Nelson, former chair and CEO, Carlson Companies; and Richard Davis,
chairman, president, and CEO, U.S. Bank, have named Maureen Bausch as the committees Chief
Executive Officer. Bausch, who currently serves as Mall of Americas Executive Vice President of Business
Development, will begin her new duties on December 15, 2014.
After a thorough search and interview process, we are thrilled to be able to land someone of
Maureens caliber, said Baker. She brings the skills necessary to successfully lead this effort and to
showcase this vibrant, engaged community on an international stage. We have no doubt Maureen will
help set the bar high for future Super Bowls.
"Bringing the Super Bowl to Minneapolis in 2018 is a shining example that demonstrates to the entire
country the strength and vitality of a community when private and public leaders come together for the
greater economic good, said Davis. This is an exciting time for Minnesota, and Maureen is the perfect
person to lead this dynamic civic partnership.
Bausch, who has been with Mall of America since 1990, has extensive experience in creating and
building brand awareness, managing large-scale events, marketing and sales, media relations and guest
services. Over the past 24 years, she has helped build Mall of America into an internationally-recognized
brand that entertains over 40 million people each year and generates more than $3 billion in positive
economic impact to the State annually.
When we looked at various candidates, an obvious area of focus was on selecting an individual who
intimately knows the region and can tell the story of what makes this state so great, said Carlson
Nelson. Having told the story of one of the countrys most recognizable brands in Mall of America for
more than two decades, Maureen fits the description perfectly.

In her new role, Bausch will be charged with planning and executing all elements of the week-long
celebration, along with engaging the community in the months leading up to the game and showcasing
the region to an international audience.
I want to especially thank Doug, Richard and Marilyn for leading the successful effort to secure the
game for 2018 and for putting their trust in me to fill this role moving forward, said Bausch. They have
an amazing vision for our Super Bowl that includes a goal of creating a lasting positive impact, and it will
be exciting to be part of achieving that vision. Hosting the Super Bowl will give us a unique opportunity
to showcase everything great and special about Minnesota for months in advance of the game. We have
an amazingly creative community; harnessing that talent to create something bold is what Im most
excited about.
We are thrilled with the co-chairs selection of Maureen as the Super Bowl Host Committee CEO, said
Vikings Owner/President Mark Wilf. Through our long-time partnership with Mall of America, the
Vikings have grown to know Maureen well, and we are extremely confident she will accomplish big
things in this endeavor. We look forward to her work in bringing the worlds marquee sporting event to
Minnesotas new multi-purpose stadium.
