General Information for Jacking

(Ref. Fig. 07-11-00-991-00100-A - Location of Jacking Points)
(Ref. Fig. 07-11-00-991-00200-A - Different Heights of the Jacking Points)
(1)

You must lift the aircraft at three points on the structure with three hydraulic jacks:
. one point is under the forward fuselage at FR8,
. the two other points are under the wings at Rib 9.
When the aircraft is on jacks, put a safety stay between FR73 and FR74.
This prevents any accidental movement of the aircraft.
NOTE :

You must not use the safety stay to lift the aircraft.

You can lift the aircraft with jacks when the tires and the shock absorbers are deflated.
You can lift the aircraft at the forward jacking point only, with the wheels of the main landing gear on
the ground. (Ref. TASK 07-11-00-581-003-A)

(2)

KNA

NOTE :

We recommend that each of the hydraulic jacks has load indicator to monitor the load at each
jacking point.
If the hydraulic jacks have a load indicator, it must have two scales:
. a scale with graduations in bars (psi),
. a scale with graduations in daN (lbf).

NOTE :

The jack load capacity must be higher than the maximum permitted structural load below.

Install the DYNAMOMETER-SAFETY STAY (98D07103000000) on the safety stay.

Reaction at the Jacking Points

NOTE :

The maximum permitted aircraft weight for the jacking procedure is 59000 kg (130072.70 lb).

(1)

Make sure that you do not apply more than the safe load at each jacking point.

(2)

At the point at FR8:

. the permitted load is 6800 daN (15287.01 lbf)

(3)

At the points at Ribs 9, left and right wings:

. the permitted load is 28500 daN (64070.54 lbf)

(4)

At the point between FR73 and FR74:

. the permitted load is 2000 daN (4496.18 lbf)

Lifting
(1)

Slowly operate the controls of the nose and the two wing jacks to lift the aircraft at the same attitude.
NOTE :

KNA

It is necessary to monitor the level attitude of the aircraft during all the jacking procedure.

(2)

Continue to lift the aircraft until you get a clearance of 120 MM (4.72 IN.) between the wheels and the
ground for extension and retraction tests of landing gears.

(3)

While you lift the aircraft, keep the safety locknuts of the hydraulic jacks in contact with the jack collars
as you lift the aircraft.

(4)

Set the JACK - SAFETY STAY and put it in position between FR73 and FR74,
Operate the safety stay until you get the contact with the safety point.

(2)

(1)

Make sure that you do not apply more than the safe load at each jacking point.

(2)

At the point at FR8:

. the permitted load is 6800 daN (15287.01 lbf)

(3)

At the point between FR73 and FR74:

. the permitted load is 2000 daN (4496.18 lbf)

Preparation of the Aircraft

CAUTION :

(1)

If the engines are not installed on the aircraft, do a full refueling of the center tank. (Ref. TASK
12-11-28-650-003-A)

(2)

Before the lifting, make sure that the aircraft is stable (wheels on ground) (Ref. TASK
05-57-00-200-001-A).

(3)

Put a DYNAMOMETER-SAFETY STAY (98D07103000000) between the jack and the forward jacking
point (load cell with a center hole capacity of 10 daN).
NOTE :

KNA

BE CAREFUL IF ONLY ONE ENGINE IS INSTALLED. IT IS NOT PERMITTED TO LIFT THE

AIRCRAFT AT THE NOSE JACKING POINT ONLY.

If the jack has a load indicator, the load cell is not necessary.
