1. Identify names of different animals by looking at the spelling
2. Spell the names of animals

By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. Orally spell the names of animals, getting at least 5 correct
2. Write down the spelling of animal names, getting at least 5 correct

2. Teacher displays pictures of a


number of animals.

Lets look at these animals.

3. Teacher pronounces the names


of the animals and pupils
repeat 3 times.

I will say the name of the animals.


You must repeat after me for 3
times.

1. Teacher displays the pictures


of animals again, this time
together with the spelling.

Now, we are going to learn the


spelling of the animals we saw.

2. Teacher drills pupils on the


spelling of the animals names.

Spell each word 3 times.

friend sitting in front of you.
