The Wolf and the Lamb
by David E. Chávez
A children's opera
Based on Æsop's Fables
The Wolf and the Lamb was originally intended as an intermezzo, a short, light opera to go
between acts of another opera (or, in the case of the premiere, between other longer children's
operas). It was written to take advantage of the wealth of female voices available in a college
opera workshop setting.
