Assess the students' ability to do something or to use a skill in creating something new and
creative.
Created by observation, perception and output.
Example: a student's ability to argue, analyze the arguments of the opponents, designing and
implementing a performance, they create something artistic, and so on.
Advantages of Performance Assessment
Record what is known and can be done by the students.
Assess the students' ability to think, analyze, synthesis and evaluation as well as the transfer
of facts and ideas.
Allows teachers to make individual assessments based on continuous observation
throughout the learning process.

3} Self evaluation
The students themselves

They need to know the outcomes
Steps involved:
1. Reflection on past experience or learning.
2. Try to remember and understand what has happened.
3. Trying to get a picture or a clear idea about anything that has been learned or
accomplished.
4. Share responsibility with schools on student learning.
5. Keep a record or records that have been taken.
6. Make decisions with respect to future activities and direction to be taken.
T & L strategies help build the capacity to make a self-assessment.

a. Encourage students to develop questions to obtain additional information.
