Introduction to Lodha Group

Established in 1980, the Lodha Group is Mumbai's premier real estate developer. The Group
is currently developing in excess of 35 million sq. of prime real estate, with over 30 projects
in and around Mumbai, from Napean Sea Road to Dombivali. The Group has further

According to the company, it has always targeted the upper middle class and upper class living
customers. Lodha identified the demand for the luxury living in India, with the growing economy, as
the market for upper class citizens always goes on a medium pace.
Lodha group has not only taken the initiative of providing luxury style residential purpose houses, it
has even targeted the commercial buildings also. It concentrated on each and every minute details
regarding the construction from the switches till bathroom fittings, such as Italian marble, German
bath fittings it has never left any remark behind. Apart from providing luxuries it has even
concentrated on security issues by providing 24hr security monitoring, video calling for outsiders,
providing CCTV surveillance by which the residents can keep an eye on their children.
To attract the customers it has even provided swiping card system for personal elevators, by swiping
the card it directly whisks up the private lobby of the resident. This option is available for the
customers where only one flat is constructed on each floor.
Lodha group has also started the trend of providing a private office that lets the customer work out

With the world changing over to the green construction revolution, it was one the first company to
introduce LEED certification for commercial and residential project by providing eco-sensitive design,
water recycling, rain water harvesting pits, utilizing maximum of sunlight, utilizing solar power for all
necessary equipment and providing maximum free area.

In the year 2011 the Lodha group has achieved more than 5000cr sales. It has also brought
ARMANI group designers for designing the interiors of world one (Mumbai). As these
designers are very much reputed worldwide, through this they can market easily as they
have designed the world famous Burj Khalifa (Dubai).
In the year 2012, it started entering into luxury resort type residential project (Pune). For the
year 2012-2013 it earned more than 9000cr through sales and reached direct employee

With growing internet penetration, builders have realised the potential of the online space in
selling homes and some have even tasted success. Mumbai-based Lodha group has
generated over 100 bookings through its online portal for its new township project Palava in
Navi Mumbai, for the same project it has also used the brand image by selling the first house
to Mr. Amitabh Bachan (Film Actor) and marketing using his face value. In another project
Lodha Park the company has signed in former Miss World and Indian Actress Aishwarya Rai
Among Lodhas other projects is the Blue Moon residential project on a 17.5-acre parcel in
central Mumbai that it acquired from DLF at Rs.23,000-25,000 per sq. ft. in January.
Apartments here were sold using what Lodha calls an initial public method. This means that
the price band is known only to potential customers and an automated algorithm system is
used to allot apartments to buyers.
In January 2014, Lodha sold two buildings in its Blue Moon project for Rs.4,000 crore. The
total number of flats sold (was) 800, the company said.
