Analysis Checks

UsingAutodeskRobot/Revit,Iwillcheckthefollowingitemsandchangethemaccordingly:
1. Columnandbracingsizing
IwilldeterminewhethertheinitialHSS4X4X1/2columnsandtheinitialHSS2X2X1/8braceswill
exceedthemaximumpermitteddeflectionoflength/360.
2. Maximumdeflectionsofglass/mullionssystem
Iwilldetermineiftheglass/mullionsystemontheroofofthelobbywilldeflectexcessively.
MullionsareHSS2X4X1/4.Sinceglassissensitivetodeflections,Iwilluselength/480asthe
governingdeflectionrequirement.
3. Nonlinearanalysis

4. Connectiontothemainbuildingstructure
Iwilldetermineifadditionallateralreinforcementisnecessaryinthemainstructure(where

mainstructure.
5. RoofLoads
Iwilldeterminethedeflectionoftheroofsystemduetodeadloadsonly.
