Observation

In this experiment there have 2 task given to completed. For the first experiment, the value of Kp(V/m)
is 230, 270, and 290 and the value of Kv (Vs/m) is 3 and 7 which is only 2 value to measured. For the
second task need to improve this experiment to make objectives achieve. So the value of Kp and Kv
need to change until the result shown.
For the Kp = 230 (V/m) the Kv value is 3.5 (Vs/m). In this value the time to first peak (tp) have been
recorded which is 0.153 s. While the percentage overshoot (PO) is 13.5%. In this value tp and PO not in
suitable value because not achieve the objective given.
Besides, Kv=6.8 (Vs/m) give result for tp is 0.183 and PO is 4.0%. In this result show that when Kp=230
and Kv 6.8 its give a good result or value of time to peak and percentage overshoot. Moreover, the value
of Kv=9.0 the result obtain tp=0.23 and PO=1.0. This is because for the first observation when Kv is
increase so the Kv will give good result of tp and PO.
For the result Kp=270 (V/m) obtain that Kv=4.0 the tp=0.135 and the PO=19 % This value show that the
decreasing of PO which is good condition but increasing of tp which is not very good value. In this
situation maybe the value of a not very consistent at the first place. That why the result also not very
consistent too.
Referring the graph that has been plotted, there have twelve graph for simulation and one for
experiment real time. From the observation data obtained for the first and second graph that used
constant Kp value is 230V/m but with differences value of Kv is 2.5,6.8 and 9.0. we get the PO value is
increased as the Kv value is decreased.
Basically, for the first experiment for the first stage of trial in simulation mode, the system response not
looks like what we had expected. This is because after running the simulation we expected there has any
movement with the apparatus and the control diagram will move since the value already plug in.
somehow, after plug in the value in the control diagram the graph suddenly appear with 2 difference
line. To key in the data for Kp =230, Kv = 3 and Kv= 7 there have some problem to get the result. The
result for Kv=3 and Kv=7 is same value.
Supposedly, the value of Kv=3 and Kv =4 will get the difference value since the Kv is difference. Logically,
when the value of Kv is bigger so the time difference bigger as well. But for the first stage the value of
time and the value of percent overshoot is same. So that the first simulation mode does not looks like
what we had expected. Why the value is same? The answer is because the simulation does not running
yet. Which is after plug in the value of Kp and Kv we simply double click at Simulink simulation mode
without run the matlab. Because of that problem the result is not go enough.
For the second experiment the value has been expected because the value of the tp and PO need to be
decrease. In order to decrease the tp and PO so we need to use high Kv to make a good result. So that
the objective is achieved.
