E Real Estate Website

Introduction
The financial crisis of 2008 had affected a lot of economies. One such example is that of
the Dubai economy which experienced a collapse due to this crunch. However, Pakistan which is
a developing country did not undergo any change during this period most probably due to the
stagnant property prices and its minor dependence on real estate sector until 2008.
However, the prices of real estate in Pakistan have risen since 2008 and are expected to
further increase. This implies that the real estate sector is experiencing a boom since 2008. The
contribution of construction sector in Pakistan has decreased from 28% to 4%. Due to the
problems of gas and electricity, the developers are hesitant in beginning new projects. However,
the government has taken into account these issues and is trying to fix them.
The improvement in the law and order situation of the country, with the eradication of
terrorism would prove to be beneficial for the real estate sector. With peace prevailing in the
country, more investors would be attracted to invest in real estate properties.
The rising interest rates are also posing a threat for the real estate sector of Pakistan.
Increase in interest rate lowers the purchasing power of the people and they are reluctant to
invest in properties.

Lahores Real Estate

Lahore has become the most preferred city to live in and to establish business. People
from rural areas are migrating to Lahore in order to increase their living standard, look for career
opportunities and acquire education. This migration from rural areas has caused an increase in
the property prices of Lahore as these migrants demand a residence here. To meet this increased
demand, Lahore is developing many housing schemes. These schemes are being developed
keeping the low cost housing in mind. The most popular locations for residence in Lahore are
DHA, M.M. Alam Road, Johar Town, Gulberg and Jail Road.

Rationale
In order to catch up with the increasing demand of property in Lahore and to ease the
search of the potential buyers, we have developed an E Real Estate website. This website
would serve as a platform for potential buyers and sellers to come together, negotiate with one
another and carry out a transaction. This website would enable the potential buyers to search
their desired property in their favorite locality without having to visit different real estate agents.
Thus this website would help reduce the search costs of the buyer while at the same time
lowering transaction costs. It would also provide price transparency to the buyers. Our website
would not only benefit the potential buyers but would also provide the advantage of price
discrimination to the property dealers. Once the potential buyers have selected their favorite
property on our website, they will be able to communicate with the concerned property dealers
either through email or through telephone. Once a deal has been finalized among the two parties,
we will charge the dealer 10% of the cost of the property.

Software
For the purpose of creating this e real estate website, we have used two software that are:
Joomla
Yola.

Description of Software
Joomla
Joomla is a content management system which enables people to create websites
and other applications. It is easily accessible by everyone and thus is the most famous
software for creating websites. By installing Joomla on your desktop and then following
some instructions would enable you to create your own website.

 Yola
Yola is a website creator and web hosting company. It doesnt require any
technical experience it make free website with easy drag & drop functionality.
Everything will be done on fingertips of users.

Deliverables
Joomla
We develop our website by using Joomla (www.joomla.org) and after creating login, we
move to (https://ccp.cloudaccess.net/clientarea.php) page that was shown in below picture.

After activating hosting for free demo that expire after 30 days if we dont upgrade it, we
come to the next page of login to the Backend/Administrator of our page where we can make
change to for our front view. Following page is shown for login where we give:

The front view of our website is shown in the following picture where we only update our
company logo by using backend of our site. The address of our font view is

Following picture is the admin/backend view of our site where we have created articles and
categories to show these change on front view. We crated three categories to show on our page
are:

1. Simplifying homes buying & home selling

2. Get real estate tips and advice
3. Working with a real estate agent

When we created articles at backend following changes occur on front view as shown in
picture.

After that we add banner to our backend view and on front end in banner position map of
Lahore shown on front view.

After creating categories and article now we add menus and in below figure two more menus
are shown that are:
1. Home
2. Lahore Property
3. Contact us

In Lahore property menu we put ads of houses for our customers where they can see
house features and prices and for further information we gave contact number of the company
worker which was involve to make deal of the house.

Following picture is shown our other menu where we give all numbers and e-mail
address by which customers and also persons who want to sell houses contact with us and take
information and procedures with wich they avail our facility.

Here we drag and drop different items in that site we collect money through PayPal system
remaining business model is same as develop for Joomla:

Following was our page of property where we advertise to sale our houses and done payments
through PayPal service.

And the last page that we develop on Yola is contact us we provide information from which
customer and seller easily contact with us.
